I agree.
Why would they get rid of it? There is more than enough room to expand and extend the midway next to wolverine wildcat. If anything, they could use a bigger one. I hate the minature ones myself.

Other then taking out its carousel, taking out the train may be the gravest sin a park can commit. Im looking at you park fka PGA.

In fact, when I was in line for Thunderhawk, it looked like they are already partway there. Very nice concrete and landscaping all the way around thunderhawk and along the lagoon. All they would have to do is put up some fences to stop people from wandering inside the structure of TH and WW and turn the dirt road that runs along the back of WW into concete or asphalt midway.
I don't know if the train counts towards the never remove a train mentality - it's a silly kiddy train that goes nowhere and just loops around in an empty field. But on the other hand, there's no reason to take it out because it's not really in the way of anything. Even if they wanted to add a coaster in that area, no reason the train can't say. Might actually make the train ride interesting.
I agree.

^^ I think that your right about the train up to a point. I agree I think they should retrack it to leave room for expansion and I know you can do the mid way in between the two coasters but right behind the midway is the train. and its plat on the ground. ACTUALLY! nevermind! just thought (for once ^-^) They can just put in those crossing signs like the ones at cedar point. Then that opens a lot of space behind the park. I think that is their land...
I don't see them doing the cross signal thing any time soon... the extra employees needed to monitor them would be an unnecessary expense if it can be avoided

well that train blocks a lot of expansion. I know you can make that midway betweent the two coasters but then you cant go behind the train because well the train is there...

Empty at the moment, yes...but wouldn't it make a great spot for a Camp Snoopy with the train encircling it? I suspect the area that the train was added is marked for future development.
ive been looking at the park map and yes that wood be a cute little area for a camp snoopy but i dunno i am hoping more of a thrill ride in the future but the expansion would be the start of something. The only thing too is that they could turn the kitty ride area into a camp snoopy just theme the area better... also mamoosh do you work with cedar fair or anything cause u seem to know wht yer talking about...
He doesn't know what he's talking about.... it's all part of his Mooshy mystique. :)

X) nice one, hey we all know we want a ride but what do you guys want? I am hoping for a ride like diamond back or behemoth. I think they need steel coaster that focuses on drops. I dont think they need another wooden coaster period. Then i think a good flat like a Huss Frisbee or a Screamin Swing. Then maybe something like maverick or hydra

How so?
There is plenty of room to build that midway between wolverine wildcat and thunderhawk with several rides as it stands now.
I woulden't hold your breath for a new coaster in the next few years. I could maybe see a drop tower or a thrill ride of some sort going in first. A camp snoopy area would go over really well also. And as the railroad tracks stand now, there is plenty of room for both of those suggestions to fit in.
I was kind of dissapointed with this years new attraction. I was not expecting a new coaster, but maybe a thrill ride or camp snoopy like I mentiond.
Coaster wise, I think they are fine for the next few years. If anything, I would like to see them add a 2'nd train to wolverine wildcat.

I didnt think that there would be a camp snoopy, we would have found out about this much earlier and I was happy about the bumper boats. Its something. We could have gotten nothing and have nothing to talk about. It just shows they are still building. I dunno about your coaster idea because a lot of the other parks are getting mulitiple coasters very quickly. If i recall Kings Island just got Diamondback and Firehawk. I know its a bigger park but Michigans Adventure needs more thrill, and thats probably my greed but i want a ride thats close to home! X)
It sounds like a case of "Its what I want", more than what the park really needs.

Well really speaking for "what the park needs" I think that it does need something I just said a coaster because the attendance spiked after thunderhawk i think that would go up even more for another one. Camp snoopy would also be good because it would focus on a childrens area to the park! (:
The park doesn't "need" any new attractions. It's already bordering on over-built for the market it has.

Well if you think about it any amusment park doesnt need any more new attractions, but its a way of making more money. It costs a lot for a coaster but if you make a new attraction people will come to the park for the park makes more money. The attendance has gone way up since the release of thunderhawk...
I have to disagree with you Jeff.
The park "needs" some new attractions. The park is in a high tourist area, and brings in a LOT of local schools and groups. I went on a monday, and there must have been 50+ busses in the parking lot.
They just don't need another new coaster right now. What they need is some more thrill rides and maybe a show or two. They could also use a camp snoopy type area, as the kids ride selection they have now is kinda weak. They also need to work on the inforstructure of the park a bit more. Things like finishing the path besides wolverine wildcat, adding more trees, also adding something like a red garter saloon type show place would be great.
I went to the park 3-4 times last summer, and there were a few times where I had to wait almost 45 min for shivering timbers and an hour for wolverine wildcat.
Granted it's not ever gonna be a park the size of cedar point, but maybe something along the lines of dorney park.

That's anecdotal and irrelevant. If these groups are being adequately served, and keep coming back, it only reinforces my point.
