If the very slow Underground at Adventurland and and Blazing Fury at Dollywood can be considered coasters, then why not Camden's dark ride. Devil's Den at Conneaut is in the same boat.
Oh, I didn't say it couldn't, I just stated that I didn't. You're at will to count it any way you wish :).
None of it really matters any way. There's no cookie waiting for me when 305 becomes # 600 Saturday. ;)

Since it will probably be used, the question becomes, what used ride on the market would be the best and most affordable fit for Camden? And since they are not making a big deal out of it, it will probably be specifically a used flat..
What makes you think it would be a used ride?
The last two new rides at Camden, the Flying Scooters and the Kite Flyer, were not used.

Point well taken. My butt was covertly typing on the keyboard when I wasn't paying attention. ;)

So, on the Camden Home page a nice image of a Rockin Tug shows up and then disappears, but this ride is not listed under "new for 2010" yet. I think the cat may be out of the bag, though.
Cool! Even though I was wishing for a spinning mouse, at least the park is getting something unique.

Ensign, that piece of crap looper nearly closed the park down, and was rarely open.
I remember hearing this, that the Thunderbolt Express had almost cost Camden Park..well the park.
Sometime around 2000 I can remember seeing this website begging people to visit Camden Park as the park was in danger of closing for good. I assume that website must had worked since Camden is still with us today.
Rockin' Tug is a perfect addition to Camden, and I'm glad they're getting one. Too bad I'm not really close anymore (but then there's that one at SFoG anywho...).
Screamscape is saying that the Skydiver is being removed. I am not displeased with this decision, if true, at all.

The skydiver has been closed almost every time I have been there except once. I rode it and swore I would never ride it again. :)
I am very pleased with the Rockin' Tug. Those things are a blast!
Yes. I rode the one at knoebles, and it was really fun. The ride is kind of small though. I really wish that Camden Park would finally build a nice steel family coaster.

There are at least 2 spaces that they could put up a good spinning mouse, and the added benefit would be that putting it where the skydiver was would put it at the front of the park, and would cover up a very dull looking part of the park.
Every time I go there, I imagine a crazy mouse coaster right there, next to the entrance. It would be the perfect place for one, and the perfect park for one too.
So why don't they try to stay current? They maybe build a new ride every 4 or more years, if I recall correctly. There's not another park anywhere near the area, with the closest parks being 4 or more hours away.
Camden Park is a nice park, they just need to pay more attention to cosmetic stuff, and make it less junkie-looking... And some new rides wouldn't hurt either.
I really think it's viable for a larger sized park somewhere near Huntington or Charleston. Camden Park should make major expansion plans soon, or else someone else might get the big idea to build a large park in the area and put them out of business, imho.
Ever since I was little boy, I've imagined what Camden Park would be like if they doubled in size. I even fantasize how it could be done.

The thing that 'kills' me about Camden, there were very nice parts that were landscaped and taken care of...then there were parts that weren't. They have enough land to add some interesting stuff, but, like, take for instance the ferris wheel and the sky diver. They were ploped on a pad without any rhyme or reason. The park could be landscaped, and a couple of rides moved around, and some holes filled in, and it'd be a fine place.
And they need to refurbish that train on Big Dipper (A surprisingly fun coaster, BTW).
