New photos of Shockwave!!!!!!

Well chris, IF *the Flags* actually ends up making TWO decent coasters out of SW, I think both of them ought to be named "Shock", 'cause I'll be doubly-shocked....

But, being a cost-effective manager of services myself, I have to admit being impressed by SF this year....Nawlins gets a nice "new to you" Beemer (inverts being my personal favorite B&M products), and SF gets to spread around the flats package that came with it. WW/EV brings some nice new wood to the NW. The 4-D coaster in SoCal appears to be up and running reliably again (knock on some serious wood there). SFGAdv got Viper AND the Parachute ride up and running again. Whizzer remains! And to top it all off, SF creates TWO good new coasters from one old painful one.....Kudos!

My sentiments exactly, 'Gator. Perhaps Six Flags finally "gets it" ???

Now this is quite a development. Getting Arrow to do the work as part of the X reparations is a stroke of genius. Here I was assuming that SF would pay for any modifications themselves. Guess it pays to be 'in the know,' doesn't it 'Moosh?

A trip to Houston next season is 'in the books.'

EV - nothing has been officially announced yet, and frankly I don't know when it will although IAAPA is coming up, perhaps that's what their shooting for?

Wait wait wait... Two? Gator......Are you "in the know" about anything? If so could you give us some minor details to this rumor.

Edit: Imo that rumor is extremely unlikely. Arrow would have to create new track more than likely. And sf's relationship hasn't been the most reliable with them in the recent past.

It looks as though Arrow is going to be able to help after all. My contacts have lead me to believe that this rumor is indeed true. The fellow I know in the midwest virtually guarantees this strange, but wonderful, possibility. My SoCal contact has seconded the rumor. News at 11!;)

Heres my idea, I say we split SW into 2 seperate coasters. Send SW's Mid Course Break section to Santas Village and let them build a new coaster with that, and then we keep the rest of SW at Great America and rebuild it somewhere else in the park (possibly behind American Eagle) and get a new and improved Mid Course Break section. That way SW fans would still have it in the park with a new and improved Mid course Break section that wouldn't give you a headache and non SW fans would still have Superman! Wishfull thinking aint it ;-)

Well, an Arrow was "transformed" VERY successfully in the past couple years with trackwork from *some other* steel coaster manufacturer. (I don't give *credit* to Morgan for their wooden trains). So, Arrow isn't necessarily required to build track for a previous Arrow steel looper.....hmmm? Just a thought mind you, I really don't KNOW anything, I just think aloud alot.....

I second Mr. Finger Lickin' Good when I ask B&M LOVER why he even had to waste the 10 seconds to post. You don't see me, one of the largest Arrow fans out there, cheering for the demise of a couple B&Ms here and there that were about as smooth as a kick in the face. I hate to see any coaster go, but a bad rep and decreasing ridership will kill anything in due time. Until any of this is announced I shall continue to remember this steel behemoth (aggressive as it was) in my beloved RCT recreation! Ooooh that peep doesn't look so good.

I personally think everything after SW's first loop should go, and once out of the loop the 7-car trains can plunge towards the ground, leveling out just in the nick of time (like a mine tain pull-out). Then, they will take an unbanked curve that will lead them straight into the station brakes. It works in RCT.....LOL
