I was just wondering what flat rides RTC2 has. I know they have the magic carpet ride and thats about all I know. If you tell me what flat rides that have, I'd really appreciate it.Thanks.

In one screen shot, I saw a Space Spiral style observation tower, just like the one at Cedar Point. I wonder if just like the one at Cedar Point you can close off the top level, and reduce the ventilation so the passenger cabin rises to a nice toasty 98.6degrees.

I know that there is a tea cup ride and a Zeirer magic carpet. I don't know what else yet though
Those are the ONLY two new flat rides.

A lot? Well... no.
The magic carpet ride, the teacups/breakdance ride, and the new observation tower, are the only new flats. There are more variations for things like dark rides, but pitifully new flats. Really, was it too much to expect about five of the really common ones like wave-swingers and trabants?
Its like Buzzsaw @ SFNE AWSOME Flat!

Well, unless he's somehow unlocked a bunch that are hidden until the end of the game, he's wrong. No one has reported any beyond those two.
Seems to me that Sawyer only added the ones he did because they were just marginal variations of existing flats (double decker observation tower is just an observation tower with a different car, teacups is the scrambler with different graphics, and likewise the magic carpet is a swinging ship variation). He didn't really have to program new flat-ride behavior, just come up with some facelift graphics for these.
So far this is my only let-down. I was fine with RCT2 basically being only a slightly superior version of RCT, but I really only had two major items on my wishlist and that was banked drops (finally!) and more flats.
Did we NEED four new bench types and four new trashcan types? Not really, but it's nice.
Did we NEED more flat rides? YES! :-(
I sure hope there's a "Thrill Riders!" expansion pack coming out in about 6-9 months.

I like my Eclipse but I like Force more....
My proposed expansion pack title
RIDES RIDES RIDES
Just flat rides, resturants ,arcades, skill games , and maybe any new coaster types that come out in the mean time
NO abstract shapes, giant footballs, or stackable snowmen. Just the things we've been asking for since the first game came out years ago.
Yes I know it's pathetic to be moaning about a game I don't even have yet but I have read the posts and know its missing some of the simple things we've been wanting. Also there are 3 U. S. Six Flags parks included yet the new flat rides in the game appear at none of them. and they all have similar rides that haven't been included.(old style freefall, sky coaster ect)

There are more than just the two new flat rides... but not many. There are some variances on the old ones (like a new monorail ala Disney Worlds) and then a few additionals like a submarine ride etc.
Don't get your hopes up for "a lot" of flat rides. There aren't "a lot" that are new... actually very few. I had hoped, no dreamed, of it having more... but it doesn't and it SUCKS.
I agree 100% that a flat ride expansion pack would be terrific. Actually if *potential* future expansion packs do not have plenty more flat rides, I won't bother to buy them.
I understand that the game is called ROLLERCOASTER Tycoon, but IMO the objective shoudl be building a well rounded park. It doesn't make sense to me that you can have 50 coasters in a park and only one or two flats.
