New Entries in the CoasterBuzz Top 100

There is a way. It's not on the list. :) Remember that it's not just ridership, but the experience of the riders.

Jeff's point is well taken. Cannibal is not on the list probably because of both low ridership and a low number of experienced riders. Let's face it; Farmington, UT is pretty far off the beaten path. With Fury 325 at the top of the list, I must say that of the new coasters I rode last year, Fury and Cannibal were the two standouts but I preferred Cannibal b/c it is totally unique, unlike any hypercoaster or giga coaster in existence.

This week in randomness....Screechin' Eagle debuts at #74! This is interesting because Screechin' Eagle was demolished in 2011, and before that was SBNO since 2002. This also gives it the title for #1 defunct coaster (sorry Big Bad Wolf).

Seems like this should be a statute of limitations violation or something.

^Not if you rode Screechin' Eagle.

And I'm a HUUUUGE fan of Big Bad Wolf....(apologies to Trump).

Not too much to report this week, but Screechin' Eagle actually jumped up an additional 4 spots.

I wonder if there was an "Oh right I've ridden that but haven't rated it yet" thing after it debuted on the list.

The list has been quiet for weeks but one interesting piece of news to report - Fury 325 is now in the top spot, over taking El Toro.

Really need to take the drive down and get on this thing in 2016.

Wow, that ride must be a pretty big hit. What happened to all of the B&M haters?

Jeff - Editor - CoasterBuzz.com - My Blog

They look at Fury as something B&M almost got right. Hence the high marks.

Build something with Fury's height and speed, and SFoGoliath's airtime hills, and you might have something capable of taking down the Intamin hypers...IMO.

Fury was just a little more MForce than I was hoping for...loved the ride nonetheless, but I'm an airtime wh....junkie.

I have got to get back to Carowinds this year and check that ride out. My sole visit was in 2012, and Intimidator blew me away then (after being a bit let down by Diamondback the year before) - between heading up to try Fury, having Mako open this summer less than two miles from my apartment, and heading home for Valravn at some point between now and Halloween, it should be a fun season.

Fury is by far the best Beemer I've ridden. Stronger than normal air. Sideways air. The treble clef turn around is one of the best moments on all 400+ I've ridden. It's not my #1 but it's definite top 10 overall. It looks great, it rides great. It's tones of fun.

Tones of fun? Do you have a toner for Fury? :)

The tone probably came from the treble clef.

Hi

I'll be at Carowinds 4 weeks from today! That's the ride I'm most anticipating.

That's because you're supposed to speak American. Duh.

Perhaps because it's set for American English?

Isn't American English redundant?

I live where they speak Appalachian English, so... no.
