New Dragster Cam

Yes i have ridden Millenium force. It has a huge drop like Magnum, just bigger, and it feels very much like and out and back to me, just bent in the middle. The turn around on the island is similar to the turnaround on Magnum, it just crosses over itself differently. Looking down on the turnaround of Magnum is a very similar sensation to looking down on the overbanked turns of Millenium.

I just feel that Millenium Force could have had a much more original twister type layout to make it stand out more from Magnum in the minds of the average person (mind you most people who go to a park do not see the subtle differences). True, it is faster. Is it better, not really. Size is more about hype, not quality imo. I don't feel i get that much of a different experience when it comes to Millenium vs Magnum as say Magnum vs Raging Bull.

So far all the suggestions about this new ride duplicate sensations already at the park by the same manufacturer. Im afraid its all going to be about size and hype.

And if thats the paint scheme its butt ugly lol Yellow, red, white and tan supports. Hopefully thats primer on some of it. :)

Has anybody heard someone get off Millie and say "Hey! That was just like Magnum!" ?

I don't understand that line of thought at all.

Now that there is daylight, I see the difference in the PT cam's position, and from that view, it sure does look like a L-TH-B to me. Not that I mind. Being shot over 400' into the air and dropping down at high speed sounds pretty thrilling to me.

Ditto, Ravenguy. In fact, it's just the opposite. It's only the coaster freaks I've heard say that kind of stuff.

Magnum is what all other coasters want to be when they grow up... Maybe you could add some rolls, twists, or maybe a giant loop on a future model.... But if you want to build a Giga speed coaster, those thrills should be left for the floorless, feet danglers, stand-up and coasters of that sort.. I couldn't imagine after that first drop on magnum going through a twist your wallet would end up in the lake and who knows where your spine would end up... Hey this starting to sound like a ride I might like....

Starting a fund to paint those yellow supports on Dragster white.

Who will build the 1st floorless woodie..called Leg Chopper.?.

Please, don't type "duh" in a post...ever.

Do not be afraid of death, be afraid of your unridden coasters.

Is it just me or do those pictures seem to show the support structure curving past 90 degrees?

It could be an illusion, but at this point, who knows?

Only the rear column bends, for the moment just the last section. Some high res photos here:

Coaster Counter: 85+...I need to sit down and figure it out :)

No one has really pointed out (as far as I can tell) that on the right side of the tower (where the solid red track is, not the red & white side) there is a track mounting plate that is angled differently than what an over-the-top element would require. If that piece is meant to mount to the bottom of the track, then the track will be twisting inward (to the right) on that side of the tower. An over-the top would require a twist to the left, would it not?

Look at Jeff's pics again... specifically the second pic down... look at the mounting plate in the upper right corner. That mounting plate is facing inward. If the track is going "over the top" then it should be facing outward.

Couple that with the fact that there is what seems to be an over the top "peak" of track in the parking lot and it makes me go "Hmmmm?".

Now Reopened With A New Layout!!!

Well truthfully I wouldn't know as I am definitely not avidly following the progress of the ride.

But aside from that, any explanation or thoughts about it Matthayman?

Some of the ideas 'bout the element have been lightly outlandish, but I would think it is for 270 degree twist since the other side shows little sign of twisting, yet.

could it be possible to go through the top hat on the bottom?? Being inverted?
How Many Cameras does CP have?? Their is the camera on the power tower, and the camera on the "mystery attraction", is the wicked twister cam a 3rd one? All that is posted on the midway page is 2 cameras, the tower and mystery one. Is their more?
There were three cams on the ride but they removed one just the other day.
I like the name Dragster....hopefully that will be the coasters name.
