I wanted to let everyone know that CoasterBuzz now has a mobile version! If you're browsing the site from your mobile phone or iPad, you can see a touch friendly version of the site. You can swap between the regular and mobile version, if you want, with a link at the bottom of each page. Club members can view the mobile version even on their desktops (not sure why you'd want to, but you can).
Enjoy!

WOW!!! Amazing!!! Thank you!!!
Surfing websites is not super easy using Safari on my iPod. This makes CoasterBuzz more enjoyable when I am on the go and not at home sitting on my computer.

Awesome! Thanks Jeff! Are you going to do the Iphone app as well?
My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!
No, there is no app. There's the Web site, viewed in a browser, which your phone already has. There is no win to have an app.

I kept asking for an app, but this does the same thing that I was looking for in an app. I don't know much about website programming stuff; was it pretty easy to create a mobile CoasterBuzz experience?

I think I'm missing something.
Looks the same on my phone as it always did and I don't see a link to switch anywhere.
You have to manually switch. There is an option for mobile view at the bottom that says "Displaying desktop view Switch to Mobil view". It's just above the copyright info.
If you're not a club member, and machine doesn't identify as a mobile, the link won't be there.
This is why Android annoys me. It's getting so fragmented that it's hard to identify it. Make sure your phone browser isn't identifying itself as something else as well.

Gonch: Go here on your phone, tell me what your user agent is:

Well, I'm not a club member right now so that would appear to be the issue.
No, but you should still get it on your mobile. What's the user agent?

If it has "Android" in it, that should be enough for me. Weird, you should get the mobile experience. Try deleting cookies (just for CB, if you can) and see what happens. I had some stuff in there to keep it hidden except for clubies until it was better tested.

No luck.
Here's what the bottom of the pages look like.
I'm not too worried about it. I don't mind the regular site on my phone. But if it helps you sort stuff out...
OK, that's super annoying. You should see the link at the bottom now, although it should just be automatic. I might need to get one of those cheap tablets to see diagnose why Android isn't consistently recognized, because the ideal is that you visit and you're on the mobile view automatically.

Jeff, I'm having the same issue as Gonch. I'm using Android 2.3.4 and tried it on the stock Android browser, Opera and Firefox. All three give the regular site, not the mobile site. I double-checked to make sure each browser was sending the mobile user agent.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
You'll have to use the manual link at the bottom. The weird thing is that the stats show Android users using the mobile version, which is maddening.

Yeah, my first try, I didn't see the link either. Since the fix, the link appeared, and now the three or so times I've reloaded, I automatically get the mobile site. Android 2.3.4. Can't thank you enough for this, Jeff. I pretty much refuse to use the internet on my phone for anything that doesn't have a mobile site. It sucks having old eyes.
