Ride_Op Coaster Productions has produced a new coaster, and this one is quite a mean little rodent. Enjoy Rodentia, for the NoLimits coaster simulator!

If Jeff didn't think it was news worthy, he wouldn't have posted it up there. If you don't like it don't read it. Simple enough?

People aren't happy unless they have something to complain about. Slow news day, the guy does good work, I posted. Get over it.

Yikes...didn't know my news post would cause so much bickering. Advertising personal sites in the forums isn't allowed as far as I know, so a news post is the traditional way to announce it. Sure it's only one coaster, but it is hours and hours of work on my part. But if you aren't interested then don't read the news update, pure and simple.
I would appreciate constructive critism about the coaster though.

Ride_Op, all you need now is a little money, lots of steel, some fabrication equipment, and a couple of good welders. My Amex card with the delivery address is on the way...

Beer, my soon to be wife, coasters, and the FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Is this a great country or what!!
Ride_Op....
I'll let you know how good your coaster is (in my opinion) when I get home after work today.
All I can say is that the pictures look sweet, and it is definately not easy to create a wild-mouse coaster. The curves have to be smaller, the dips have to be made to the size of a single car.
I commend you on excellent jobs for the coasters you HAVE done already, Ride_Op. I don't know how many other "buzzers" know it that have already posted to this thread, but YOU know the program basically inside out since you helped develop it and also helped put some of the original coaster samples on the program....
...so I'll let you know how good it is when I get a chance to download and play it!
I don't know why everyone is being such a sourpuss about it...
stoogemanmoe: It took about a week of tinkering in my free time to get the layout right. I wanted to go with 10 cars, but wasn't able to keep enough momentum and have enough track for 10, so I settled on 9. The supports really took forever since most are done by hand. I was probably building supports for a couple of weeks. Every time I start a new coaster I promise myself that it won't be as compact and I'll be able to use lots of prefabbed supports, but then I make something like Rodentia and that all goes out the window.
Thanks for the kind words guys! :)

Well, Ride_Op... I got a chance to download and play it...
Very unusual. I don't know too many wild mouses with a gagillion inversions, let alone any!! It's a really cool coaster and looks like it'd be fun to ride... however, I just wonder if it would be better without any inversions at all and instead just relied more on what was better about it, like hair-pin turns, sharp banked turns, little dips & drops, and the such!
Overall, it was very good... but I guess on the "realistic" factor... it ranks a little below average 'cause of the sheer number of inversions.
