As Cedar Point's 2003 ride goes unannounced and crosses above the 200-foot threshold in construction, fan hype has dominated Internet fan sites with speculation and analysis of the construction progress.

The pullout is HUGE. I have a feeling it will be 400ft. but only L-TO-B.
And if this were true do you think would CP say they have the tallest coaster even if it doesn't beat Superman???
Not to rehash an argument, but if the CP2003 coaster is only "launch, go up, come down, break run" isn't that essentially JUST LIKE Superman The Escape, but full circuit? Seems like an awfully fine line there.

So there is something about the ride that will disappoint enthusiasts. This is Jeff's warning to us that it will not live up to all of the hype given to it. If it is L-TH-B, it will basically be a one trick pony. Given Dick Kinzel's love for airtime, I think that it will "only" be 350' high and have a couple of airtime filled "bunny hops". This would be more than enough to overwhelm the GP.
I guess we'll know in a few weeks as to how tall it will be.

Come on Get up...Before you make, me change my mind!
I still don't see why a park would waste all that height & speed if it's just going to come to a screaming hault after the top hat element.
Why not add a few turns and a giant bunny hop (rabbit hop?) or two, until the speed slows down and it lasts more than 45 seconds!!
You'd think that the track WILL be long enough so they can fit around 3 trains on the track considering how mass popular this ride will be when it opens (and for years to come).
What I wonder is... if it is as simple as some think... will this ride suffer the same fate as Wicked Twister, and just be another coaster in their collection, or will it live on forever like Millennium Force & Magnum (ie: top 5 coasters world-wide)? I hope Cedar Point thought this through... it'd be nice to have another top-10 coaster under its belt!
Actually, after riding Xcelerator and H:XLC, I'm thinking any MORE track would be the *real* waste....at the speed you're traveling after coming down vertically, track length gets eaten up at an enormous rate....it would take a LONG track for the ride to last, and I think CP *realized* that aspect with MF.....
bill, predicting a ride time of 30 seconds....

Yeah, it's true. One big thrust, up to the top, immediate rollover, fall off, release, stop....*sigh*
See? It's simple;)
