New B&M "hyper"- choose your own music!

First - a great pic- http://rcdb.com/ig3621.htm?picture=15

Sure, this looks like a fun ride, but when I read about the music feature I had to share this. (Thr on-train lighting effects at night seem cool too)

Here's a very detailed TR (with links to a photo album)

That sucks I justed posted something a few minutes ago about the same sort of thing.

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

If I'm not mistaking, isn't this the first B&M with 4 full sized trains? Thats impressive. I wonder what the capacity is.
That looks like a very cool ride. I hope we get a US version at USH or USF.

kyleds might be right. Does this not look like a dual-loading station? If so, I think it could easily run four trains. *** Edited 3/16/2007 4:31:04 AM UTC by PhantomTails***
According to the TR it does have a dual loading station. I love the headers on the bunny hops of this ride, although the placement might have ruined the appearance and forced perspective of the themed buildings and attractions it goes over.
Looks pretty cool indeed, Id love to see a B&M like that over here, a very interesting idea.
I doubt the US parks will get anything like that. The chain parks always build the best stuff overseas.
Sounds like the same sort of thing Hard Rock Park will be getting... didn't one of their PRs mention a B&M with on ride music?

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

I read that it was moving right along on opening day until the switch track in the station got stuck and they weren't able to use one loading side for the rest of the day.

And overseas they're probably saying "The chain parks always build the best stuff in the US."

^ Exactly. The grass is always greener. I just thinking how lucky they are to have a ride like that before I realize that Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Spider-man, and Mummy are all within walking (arguable) distance of each other over here.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
You must see this video for the lights on the trains:

I can't wait til September! ;)

Two thoughts:

- I'm surprised more U.S. parks haven't picked up on the idea of theming trains with lights and music. Seems like a neat way to enhance a ride.

- I imagine those in-harness music selectors would last all of two weeks before getting destroyed if something like that were built here. Cripes, if B&M hard-foam restraints get destroyed by riders here, electronics and plastic don't stand a chance.

Not to be "that guy" (ok, maybe to be "that guy") but those youtube videos make this look like the snooziest, lay-z-boy-est B&M yet. Yikes. *** Edited 3/16/2007 6:39:52 PM UTC by matt.***
Okay, mybe USF is yanking out Bac to the Fture for a ride like this.

Coaster Junkie from NH
I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!

If a US park were to build a ride just like this, the lights wouldn't last more than a season, unless it was built at either Disney or Universal.

^^^ Agreed. I think eighty percent of the POV videos shown on you tube make "all" coasters look week. "IMO".

When you go to the gym and do some PT (physical training), does your i pod or portable MP3 player make you work harder, or give you some inspiration to do better? Having one of my favorite tunes playing behind my ears while on a ride would be, well, more exciting. What would it do for you, and, how would you feel if the music was repeated a million time like some amusement park stations? Everytime you were to take a spin on the same coaster, all you would hear is U2 vertigo. Cool!

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.

I agree, Looks very lame, Of course We're talking Disney here.

Music would probably do more for me in a indoor environment than outside. I haven't ridden a coaster yet, that I think Music would IMPROVE it.
