I also thought Harry Potter when I saw him. "Brilliant. The best ride the Towers have built." There was also a lot of screaming when the floor dropped, and multiply that when the seats tilted!

So the general public is now riding AIR?
Nope. Park opens (with AIR) on Sat. I'm guessing it's just a media day.

Why do all forget that S:UF also has a section where you're riding it on your back?
Air looks incredible and so does S:UF, but since i haven't ridden any of them i can't say which one is the better,,, or why care? Almost every coaster has it unique feeling to it and that's what makes coasters so great, i just enjoys riding them, doesn't care so much if it's better than that other coaster or that one...
olov: While S:UF does have a brief moment where you are on your back (at the bottom of the pretzel loop), the remainder of the ride is in the flying position. Air has a couple points wher rides continue along the track on their backs, similiar to the Vekoma Flying Dutchmen. I think this takes away from the flying experience, yet may be better for riders to ease some of the weight off of their chests during the middle of the ride. It can't be comfortable being held up by your chest for an extended period of time

Let me clarify again: In no way do I think AIR is going to be bad because of the "on your back" section[s] of track. I was merely stating my opinion that when I rode Stealth you spent much more time riding in top of the track than you did in flying position...not much sense for a "flying" coaster. Obviously the 2nd-gen Dutchman improved on this.
SUF has two brief moments where riders are on their backs: the bottom of the pretzel loop and on the heartline roll at the very end of the ride. Other than that its 99% fly position. In that regards I think B&M, SFOG, and whomever designed the track layout [Stengel?] got it right.
Again, no disrespect to AIR, which I'm sure is fabulous and a great addition to AT. I'm basing my preference for the US version based solely on layout. Its possible I could be completely wrong and the UK version is the better one.

Couple of points? What i know air has one section with riding on your back and that's the "helix" after the first inversion and that's not many meters more than S:UF.
So if you know any more points please tell me.
Also i think S:UF looks verry cool but comparing flying time between these coasters is really redicilous...

Actually one of my fav. parts of X-Flight is going through the loop on your back...it's so intense. I think Vekoma has a really awesome layout...the horse-shoe turn is really intense also and the helix is great.
Also for anyone that rides a Vekoma flying coaster...take the extra time to wait for the very back seat...it is worth it...trust me. A night-ride in the last row is prob. as good as it get's.

I have to agree with you here. Back seat of X-Flight is very good and intense. Outstanding positive Gs in the loop. I'll get my try with B&M's version in a few months (SUF). But, I'll have X-Flight to keep me happy. :)
