"Never Ride Again" Coasters

I wouldn't ride either OL:FOF again, unless they change the head-swallowing horse collars. I don't enjoy my head being used as a pinball. I also will probably never ride Serial Thriller at SFO again, either.
Absolutely, without a doubt, i would never ride Viper at SFNJ (previously SFGAdv). It's the only ride Iv'e ever known that the ride operators actually warn you that it's EXTREMELY rough!! Let's hope that the rumors about it's removal are true. it would be a perfect spot for an impulse coaster OR an Air Thrust!!!!!
We can still save Flashback at SFMM. Just remove the OTSR, and those hairpin turns will be more thrilling without the pain. For Revolution, the same thing. Just lap bars are enough. It only has one loop anyway.

The Boss. Just plain too rough, and not good enough of a ride to make up for it. (Why, for example, is there a flat straight piece of track at the bottom of the first hill? I know some have tried to pass it off as a double down with a lengthy run between the two downhill portions...) Williams Grove Cyclone is very rough (especially the ending) but I would ride that again and again (and I have). Iron Wolf, very rough, but I've ridden that over and over again. But the Boss...no. Hurts. Not worth the hurt.
I wanna say that i went to PKD for the first time this last season and Outer Limits FOF is the WORST and most painful ride i'd ever been on!!!! I've been on alot of coasters and that is the worst of all. Volcano is the bes ti'd ever been on and it is asweome but the other one needs to be revamped or shut down it is costing the park lots of wasted money i'm sure
I have only two coasters that I will not go on at all. Not being a standup coaster fan, I will not go on Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America. The other one I used to like, but now, every time I go on it I still have a major headache. That ride is Shockwave in the same park.

Slithernoggin, ride the BOSS first thing in the morning before it "wakes up". I thought the layout was utterly amazing, the best of any wooden coaster I have seen. I don't understand that double drop thing either. I noticed its not all the coaster itself, but those horrid lap bars of gerstauler.

Punk, not gonna happen. What SFSL has to offer isn't worth repeating the six hour drive it takes us to get there.
Shockwave at Six Flags Great America. Taking the ride this summer, I blacked out durring the tripple loops. This has never happened to me, and I will not ride it again.

Banging your head on the hard seat and going upside down while the sun is in your eyes is not a good mixture. Horrible, horrible ride!

Back ... I mean Wind Jammer. Is it really going away FINALLY!!!

Build it taller, faster and with a loop please! (Before I'm too old to ride it!)
I really hated the python at busch gardens tampa, it really hurt. I got my hair nearly ripped out and the ride itself is lame. Other than that i never really thought that i would never get back on a coaster. The Shockwave at SFGAm is really painful and i sometimes black out but i ride it all of the time, because it is a coaster and that is what i love.
other than that it is a great ride.

Manhattan Express, I'll only ride again if it's free. Not worth 10 bucks.

Canyon Blaster, fun coaster but Circus Circus ruined my last trip to Vegas (very long story) I will never give that company another cent of my money as long as I live.

Which is worse, Shockwave or GASM? I have only been on Shockwave.
Looking back on a lot of these old posts... it lists Outer Limits: FOF...

Maybe it was all these types of complaints in which PKI took into consideration and finally decided to take the plunge and install lap bars instead of the headache-inducing horse collars!!

I guess it's pay dirt since the response has been overwhelming positive...

Let's hope all the other head-jerking steel loopers take that into consideration!!!
HEY LEAVE IRON DRAGON out of this that coaster was my first coaster and it scared the you know what out of me in line. I think it is a great family coaster. Also leave Mean Streak alone I feel that the coaster is very fun I waited 2 hours to get on it this year and I loved every second of it!
Shock,

I to tell you GASM is much much better than your namesake. When I was at SFGAdv last summer, I was trepidacious about going on GASM but my coaster maniac side of me went on it anyways. I was VERY pleasantly suprised. GASM was better for one main reason the brakes at the whip turn before the pretzel were virtually non-existant. The "whip" was still bad but without the trims, it was not as bad as Shockwave.

I wouldn't ride VIPER at SFGAdv again if it were the last ride on Earth!!!! It caused a lot of pain to my spine and my shoulders, and when I got home I noticed my shoulders were black and blue - big time!!! They should change the harness situation and make the back padding a little thicker.
Well, I'll probably ride them again for some reason, but for now I'll say they're never ride agains.

Corkscrew @ Valleyfair
Poltergeist @ SFFT

And stop complaining about Mean Streak! It's good and fun, and I'd wait over an hour for it.

Corkscrewed?
SGonda,

I agree about Viper. Sheesh! That was a rough ride. It sounded cool with a "true" heartline roll but the condition of the ride left me aching.
