Need name badges . . .

I've been thinking about this for a while. It would be great to have a way to identify fellow buzzers at parks and ACE events. My idea would be to have something we could print out that has the logo on it that is the size of one of the plastic name badge holders (or similar -- other tech welcome!) that we could put our screen names (and maybe real names) on. This way we could recognize not only that someone is on Buzz, but also what name we know that someone by.

If someone would like to take it on, I'd be happy to size the graphic for printing to buttons. The only formality is that I'd have to give you written permission to do it, since the logo is a trademark, but that's no biggie.

If you'd like to further suggest an implementation, I'd be happy to work with you. Post here (prefered) or jeff@popw.com.

I'm willing to help, but how would we distribute the tags? Just mail them? I'd be more than happy to help out. I'm interested in doing it as well.

I was thinking of making this REALLY simple -- make up a page linked to the homepage where you would see the graphic (about 3 inches high X 4 inches long would fit most standard holders). Then you could add your name, screenname, city & state and print it out at home. (I don't understand the technology, so if necessary, you culd print it out, then write in your name & stuff.) The big finish: Put it in one of those little plastic holders you buy at stationery stores (or get really fancy and laminate it at Kinko's). Yeah, it's an honor system thing, but so is most of this page!
Note: making someone sign in to be able to access this graphic might reduce problems. (Actually, Dutchman thought of this.)
I am willing to help out. I have a pretty good printer and a great computer. I have many desktop publishing program on my computer. I get free lables/badges from my uncle.

1. Would it make sense to have the crack'n'peel type labels, similar to the "hello, my name is", but using the "buzz" logo, with an opening for us to write in? (could be pkg's of 50 or so, that we could buy as we need them)

or

2. A pin type, similar to the name tags they wear in parks like Disney, where the logo is printed on the plastic, then the name is engraved.

I can get you prices for either. My shop can print the stick on type labels, and a broker we deal with, does specialty items, like the pins.

(I'd like to hear a few more thoughts on this before pursuing these ideas.)

I can provide a PDF file of the logo if you want to do this. Let me know and let me know the size of the label.
