First off, they must keep Deja Vu, Superman, Tidal Wave (could be renamed after Aquaman). The only rides they could lose, and no one would actually care, are Flashback and Psyclone. Supeman and Collosuss are in need of refurbs - and it's time for them to think about steel tracking the curves on Collosuss just to smooth them out, almost part steel coaster/part wood.
I like the idea of a the main street feel, but SFMM is not laid out in such a way as to allow a long corridor. The main street concept would have to start at season pass processing outside the main gates, then wrap around and head towards Flashback, past the Carrot Club. A 4d theater attraction is a good idea, and I hope to see it in the near future.
My revisions would be:
Granny Gran Prix - enclosed Dark ride. The ride system is in place, so it wouldn't cost as much as starting from scratch.
Batman - enclosed coaster, themed after Arkham Ayslum - done for anniversary. I think it's important for SF to think about this in Space Mt. terms. Tweak the surroundings, and re-promote as "new", add new effects periodically to keep it fresh. Also, Batman as an enclosed invert would be eligible for some coaster records. Also, for Gotham City - a disko coaster themed after Batman villain the Mad Hatter and new DC Heroes themed cafe, similar to the Marvel Super Heroes eatery that was at USH.
Magic Moments Theater, Bear Playhouse - new seating - actual seats and redone for better sound.
Scream - redone as "Barnstormer" - the ride is in the County Fairgrounds, but has zero relation to that theme. What better way than flying over a "fairground" and to enclose the helix and interlocking corkscrews in a barn so the ride becomes part enclosed? Just a thought. Or, even more wild, add a Hulk style launch to the beginning and then reconnect back to the original track. This could be done after space is maxed and the need arises to add a "new" attraction.
Goliath - also partly enclosed. The ride is supposedly set in ruins, so why not send riders through an enclosed tomb during the helix which is pretty much near the ground as it is? Also, at the same time, the installation of a Rainforest Cafe style restaraunt bordering/interacting with the new tomb/ruins. They would need to make a decision on where the theme of Golaith ends, Gotham City begins, etc.
Jet Stream - in order for guests to not actually see that Ninja is not painted well in some spots, occasional tunnels.
When I was there with a number of friends, one of my friends who didn't not want to ride coasters all day was board as hell while at the park. More then any park I've been to, if you are not a coaster fan the Mountain is a pretty dead place to hang out. The fact that there are all these things to do other then ride coasters is not obvious to most who visit the park. It is part of the unique quality of the Mountain these days, but like I said it was not always like that.
Few parks have a coaster line-up that is better that SFMM, and yet given the choice people would choose a different park because of the variety of attractions offered, like Kennywood, Busch Gardens, Hershey Park, Knobel's, SFOG, and even Knott's Berry. It may be true they are more variety at Knott's then the mountain, but why isn't it obvious?
You of all people should know kRaXLeRidAh about the changes the Mountain has gone through since the late 70's and early 80's, and all the rides that have been removed. Curious to hear your expert opinion on the park's past and recent changes. Or maybe you can explain why I've had all these vivid fantasies of visiting SFMM.
They should use this to their advantage more and offer surprises that you wouldn't expect. This park has more untapped potential than any other I've been to. They have yet to really use it. The park really needs a team of people who recognize the potential *magic* they have, and won't sell the park short.

I really hope kRaX reads that, because all of us that *hate* SFMM don't hate the park one bit, we just recognize that it hasn't even ATTEMPTED to approach it's potential. (Then again, I can really only speak for myself, LOL).
I hope Del is indeed truly gone....I don't know him personally, so there's no "ill will", so to speak, but there's no park I can think of that has such a large gap between *promise* and *fulfillment*....

P.S. *Every* major park should get a Sledgehammer, it really IS "that good"...
Is that the Jump2 at PCW?
