Roller coaster 3 is very good value.
I think you need to take a step back and realize that winning this arguement doesn't make you a winner. I'm not even so sure your confidence is justified.
I'll argue against posts like this anytime ;)
"To me, a ride like Voyage comes along once a generation. El Toro sounds like a terrific ride, but I'm sure that like every other wooden coaster NOT name Voyage, it's not going to be perfect."-dweaver
Turns out to be a dud. My new best friend was using sarcasm. Did you get it?!
Dante, who is glad to see lots of others enjoyed ET as much as him.

If you have a news story on the opening of the El Toro or any SF park in general then contribute it.
I did, 2 days ago....and nothing was put up.
no bias? riiight
it's obvious, and a complete dis-service to the readers
In this Corner, From Santa Claus, Indiana it's The Current Reining Champion Heavyweight Wood Out and Back Coaster, THE VOYAGE!
And in this Corner, from Jackson, New Jersey, it's the Challenger, EL TORO!
The Showdown is on 10/9/2006
GET READY TO RUMMMMMMMMMBLE! :)
Despite the nasty stapling, this ride provides some of the most thrilling airtime I’ve ever experienced. Overall, I believe El Toro is actually better than the New England S:RoS (and I rode it before the restraint modifications) because of its comparable airtime, steep first drop (which I personally feel is better than the first drop on Millennium Force), abundant head choppers, and superior twister finale.
Compared to other wood coasters, I think I rank El Toro at number 2, just behind Phoenix and just ahead of Boulder Dash. El Toro is worth the two hour wait. I haven’t ridden Voyage yet so I can’t compare it.

All that aside, what's going on with Rolling Thunder? Is it back in operation? Has it been "fixed" or does it still stink?
Rolling Thunder’s right track was open as of Thursday, 6/15. It’s still the same rough ride. *** Edited 6/20/2006 1:34:34 AM UTC by person***
Mark, seriously guy, FIX Rolling Thunder. I know, you just SPENT all this money on ET while still trying to work out the kinks on last year's mega-expenditure...but if SFGAdv is really going to be THE flagship park (there's no doubt about that anymore, is there?), then it's going to need two viable wooden coaster options....right now there's just one (albeit a GREAT one by all accounts).
Maintaining pre-existing wooden coasters (repairing in RT's case)...serves both purposes. I think the ridership figures for RT this year will bear that out.. ;)

Since when is 4400 ft. of track considered short?
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
I think some people need to understand that "too short" is not just a function of the ride time or the track length. Its a matter of satisfaction - the amount of action the ride packs into whatever it's track length is. That's why we have very short coasters outranking very long coasters in some cases. As a ride has a good, dynamic, entertaining layout, ride duration comes less and less in to play.
Anyway, with El Toro I'm not hearing "too short." I'm hearing things like "best coaster ever" and "amazing airtime" but not a lot of "too short." *** Edited 6/18/2006 1:08:48 PM UTC by matt.***
