It's the sight gags that first attract you, but the dialogue keeps you coming back.
To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".
The actual original Japanese show itself is a bit different from the overly-dubbed American version. There are no teams. You know how at the beginning there are a few dozen people? Well each event eliminates x number of people, until there is one single winner.
I think I like the silly competing teams they pit against each other. Lumberjacks vs. Educators.
And my favorite moment was during the American "Tony Hawk" edition, during the "jump from spinning log to spinng log" event. "Well here's his problem... he fell!"
