Multiple Rides without getting off

You know 'gator, for some reason when I saw the title of this thread and saw you had the most recent post, I figured the thread had been "hijacked". How wrong I was.

I don't know whether to be impressed or disappointed... :)

Well, jimmybob, when there's *such* an obvious double entendre sitting there in the thread title, you *had* to know I'd getting around to pointing it out somewhere...:)

bill, saying "better luck next time"...and re-rides ARE *that good*...;)

Depending on who is working (in this case 5 of my buddies) I rode MAMBA 7 times in a row during Halloweekends.

I'm trying to remember from one of those coaster shows - that guy who broke the record for the most consecutive rerides on a woodie without getting off...

Wasn't it 4000 or something?

coasterqueenTRN, I did the same thing in late August. I did Hurler 5 times without getting off, and Grizzly twice. I forgot about that...

You remember a 3 hour experience on an SLC?

Are you certain that, maybe after three or four rides, your memory didn't get a little *wonky*?

My record was 16 rides on Shockwave. My favorite would have to be on Iron Wolf, on Sunday of Last Blast. We got the last few rides of the season in the front row. We were the only ones on the train for the last 2 or 3 rides. I have never experienced such intensity on a coaster.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

IOA doesn't allow rerides anymore. The were very strict about it back in December on Hulk even though no one was waiting.

I don't remember the exact numbers, but I've had close to 50 consecutive rides on Boulder Dash and Rolling Thunder (SFGAd). I also had 28 in a row on Nitro on my 28th birthday this past season.

If Millennium Mania doesn't count as an ERT, then I've done Raptor 11 times in a row and Magnum 9. Did Kumba 20 times at BGT on a January day, and Montu 9 times that same day. I think my greatest accomplishment ever, however, was getting a re-ride on Face/Off at PKI. Just one, but I was shocked.

Although it's really not that impressive, back in 1992 my brother and I rode Drachen Fire eleven times without getting out of the train. There was no one in the park that day and there was no line whatsoever for the park's newest attraction. The ride ops kept saying that if there was no one in your lane, you may stay on. We were having a great time.... up till about the 10th ride. By that time, my elbow started to hurt from the slamming turn between the cobra roll exit and the turn leading to the mid-course brake. After the 11th ride, I came off in quite a bit of pain and noticed my elbow had turned a strange shade of purple! I was not and am not complaining by any means as I really enjoyed Drachen Fire... but those 11 rides were even a little too much for me!

I never bothered to count consecutive rides (and actually retain the number). I can tell you that I've spent 50 minutes straight on Magnum XL200 during Millenium Mania (which was open to the public), without having to get off the coaster. I've had many ride throughs back in the mid to late 80's on Conneaut Lake Park's Blue Streak. And that I rode the Idora Park Wildcat over 125 times in one day, with my brother and two cousins ( and actually had it stamped into a keychain at the arcade that day). Needless to say we had a few ride throughs on that day, and rode little else all day.

12 times in a row on White Lightnin' at PCar, but we had to get off and run around, but they still held the train up for us. I must've been about 11 years old.

Last August in really cloudy drizzly weather. Stupid people, it doesn't have to be sunny to be a good day to go to a theme park.

My personal record without leaving my seat is 21 times one rainy afternoon on the old Tidal Wave at Six Flags Great America. The only reason it wasnt more was because my friend was getting nauseaous. My most recent escapade was 10 straight rides on Windstorm at Old Town last week. Had an unlimited rides band and the guy let me stay on. I am now wishing he made me get off. Oy vay my neck!

During the Last Blast at SFGam, I rode Demon 26 times, V2 8 times, dejavu 6 times, and BTR 13 times. I don't know if that counts because it was sort of an event, but I though there would have been more than the few hundred people that were there.

Also the reason I got off V2 after riding it 8 times is it actually made me want to puke. I have a pretty strong stomach, but man. I think it was accelerating backwards that did it.

I'm wondering how people at CP got re-rides without it being an event. In all the years I've been going, I've always been told I have to leave the train and walk back around with the exception of the first Millennium Mania

As far as I can remember, the only ride I've ever gotten a reride on without getting up is the Raven.

I rode Face/Off five times in a row in the front seat, but that was on the media day.
