Mouse coaster at Ohio State Fair

There is going to be a mouse this year. It's already up at the fairgrounds. Not sure but looks like it a Reverchon with the layout. I know a lot of people love mice and a lot don't, but I have only ridden two in my life. Needless to say I'm excited about riding it. I also hope they get Inferno back. The one that is essentially a frisbee without a floor. That was a great ride also. See you there.

At the newspaper where I work, the story written about the fair says it's a spinning mouse. Is there a portable version of that?

I guess so, like I said it looks like a Reverchon. It has that different looking end to the top section, with the reverse bunny hop into the turn then the straightaway into the final turn on the top shelf. All the pictures of Reverchon mice that I've seen have this and no other company has a similar looking 'eliment'. I'm excited about riding it, I've never ridden a mouse coaster with the Mrs. so that should be sweet too.
I was going to skip the fair this year, but if they have a spinning mouse I'll be there for sure.

Yep, sounds like the spinning mouse I rode at the San Diego county fair this year. It was so fun and suprisingly lengthy. The spinning starts halfway through the ride and the mice are one row, kind of circular. Two levels of sharp turns/

Where exactly is the Ohio State Fair? When is it?

thanks

Yup, that sounds like a Reverchon spinning mouse alright...

The Ohio State fair is in Columbus, off I-71 north of downtown. Runs August 2-18.
(Hey, Lankster, do you live a half-hour or so South of Columbus off of US-33? :) )

The sign on the top of the Mouse says "CRAZY MOUSE" which implies Reverchon spinning mouse right there. Looks like I'll have to ride it during the second week of the Fair...!

Shoot, Rideman figured out my name. (I actually live nearby, mailing address is Carroll though I live in the country.)

I haven't been on any fair rides in years, though I go most every year. Maybe I'll have to try this one?

Will anyone be going to the fair on Friday? Rideman? If so, will you please post a list of rides that are there? If they have a Top Scan or that inverted Frisbee again, I will go. Thanks.

I have no idea what day(s) I'll be attending, but if it's early on then I will post the rides that I see. Although it will be in no way as official or accurate than if Rideman wrote it. The good thing is that I could walk to the fair, I won't but I could. I might walk to Crew Stadium and catch a shuttle if I can.
I could walk to the fair too, it would just take me about 45 minutes. :)

Considering how much walking you'll be doing all day at the fair, I would advise against that. But maybe a bike ride, which is something else I'm considering. Just have to find a safe place to lock it up.

That's a thought. It'd be a quick ride down Indianola.

Aw, who am I kidding... I'll drive in my A/C car like everyone else. ;)

You live on Indianola? I do, between Lane and Hudson. Darned college kids everywhere but the rent just can't be beat and my wife rides her bike to school.
Henderson Rd is just a bit farther.... ;) I don't know if I can go this year, but I have gone each of the last 5 or 6 years. I love their Skywheel and Fireball, but will not let the Zipper op know I am a ride nut! I lost an hour out of my day thanks to him running it in berserk mode!

Actually, Incidentalist, I live on the other side of I-71, near the intersection of Maize and Cooke roads. I was just saying that if I rode my bike to the fair, the majority of the ride would be on Indianola. We're still pretty darn close though.

During college I lived pretty close to Lane and Indianola.

Hmmm, between the Crazy Mouse and a Zipper in "berserk mode", I may need to get there this year.
