Most difficult coaster construction projects

l. Way back when they built it, The Beast at PKI was a real challenge. Since part of the appeal of the ride wasd to be the feeling of being out in the woods, they couldn't just level all the trees to make room for heavy equipment and the movement of materials. so they had to continually maneuver around them.

2. Indiana Beach had a rather delicate challenge weaving Cornball Express and Hoosier Hurricane in and around each other's superstructure.

3. Busch Gardens really had a nightmare erecting those coasters on that steep terrain, winding around pedestrian walkways, without harming the trees.

Umm Red Devil, obviously! Ghost Town was on a mile-high mountainside. There was hardly any suitable terrain in that area!

Any coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Silver Dollar City, or Dollywood takes some work...

Magnum XL is probly one of the most difficult rides ever built, jsut because of the fact that its sinking. :)

I suppose there are a few support footers that sunk before they got built on, so Magnum also has twice the amount of footers needed, making it secrectly the most expensive coaster ever, as well? ;)
The Bat @ PKI

opps we went to war with the wrong country. Iraq/ Iran, anyone could have made that mistake.

I agree with Dukeis#1: The Red Devil was supposed to be a nightmare to build as it was tough to get a crane into postion on the side of the mountain. If it takes a half hour to get to the park via chairlift, imagine how tough it is to get a 40-ton piece of steel up there.
Would Tenessee Tornado qualify?

Tennessee Tornado was built at a very difficult spot at Dollywood. They had to redesign their backstage roads so they could get cranes down into Craftman's Valley. Not only that, but they also had to remove the Mine Train in addition to hauling in TT's track pieces.

I'm not quite sure what they would do if the train ever deraild in the spiro-loop. It would be very difficult to get a cherry-picker in there!

SDC also had to do a little work to build Wildfire. It's located at a unique location as well.

There was talk about this coaster on here a couple of months ago:-

Apparently, this was quite tough due to the fact that the new 'Vilda Musen' shares some of the supports of the older Schwarzkopf coaster.

If you have both of the K nex coasters, which one gave you more trouble: rippin rocket or screamin serpent
kinda suprised X wasn't mentioned, they had to redo it i think because the supports wern't adequate and also the fact that the footers are deep, another might be TTD, it is so tall that the crane alone is a chore (kinda borderline), another might be MF, only the island part becuase they have to get the equipment and track across the water
