More People at PKI than CP?

While they're most likely not "hanging on every word", I have no doubt in my mind that someone with each park/chain doesn't sit down and read the boards, and report back with summaries of what's going on in enthusiast-land. You could think of it as "market research". Heck, I know ride manufacturers do (or at least one particular manufacturer, but still..)

I don't think that there are enough of us to make a real impact. Some parks do more than others, but I dont think that Six Flags or Cedar Fair really care what we think... the public means more money to them, look, we are going to buy our season passes every year, its the rest of the world they really need to look to please.

Correction, Kyle (lest we propogate falsities): Paramount does not own Bonfante Gardens. They have a contract to manage the park. Big difference.
As for enthuisiast impact, it might be minimal, but in business, every dollar counts. When I visit parks, I'm usually dragging at least non-enthuisiast with me. If I show those people the ropes (avoiding crowds, what to see/ride, etc) and they have a good time, they in turn will probably recommend that park to their friends...

So yes, I believe parks care what we think. Just don't believe that in the long run they listen to what 700-foot coaster we think would go great next to their log ride.

And that's what Bonfante needs: a log ride!
Rats, there goes all chances of WWL getting taken out to put in my dueling B&M fliers. It was good to dream!

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Robocoaster, that's a good examination of it, very likely more accurate than execs from corporations spending time scrolling through these boards.

And a good woodie, Matthew. M:TR perhaps? ;)

Who ever said that was a Good woodie? Where's Zinglow?

;)

Fastball, I loved your fliers idea.. as for WWL, I've honestly never been on it either of the trips to CP - definitely something to do this summer, though.. "Just in case"

Oh, alright. I just heard that Bonfante had a lot of nice scenery. and I watched the special on one of the cable channels about how it had a millionaire owner who always wanted to build an amusement park or something. *** Edited 12/23/2004 8:46:17 AM UTC by Kyle Fobe***

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

WWL definately (sp.) not the funnest ride in the park. However, I would be semi-sad to see it just plain demolished, it's a good kids ride. I just wish they did something so you got at least a little spray in the face. Nothing like a 10:00 (AM or PM) run on Thunder Canyon to wake you up or keep you up!
