S:ROS has been a top ranked coaster since it was built. Turns out the "upgrades" didn't sour that opinion.
I'm actually a little puzzled. I haven't ridden it post-modificiation either, and I tend to agree with Moosh about the so-called enhancements. But most of the people I know who HAVE ridden both before and after seemed to think it really DID detract seriously from the experience. (Apparently these friends didn't vote?)... ;)
Exactly, Gator. Seemed liked everyone was whining and complaining about the 'enhancements' to the ride. Definitely a negative vibe among enthusiasts.
Good to know it's the ride that matters in the end.
I did not have a chance to ride Bizarro before the mods, but I can say that the ride would be better WITHOUT the upgrades, except for the misters. Those you can keep, but the fire and cheezy sets? Not thank you! Besides, the audio system takes up one row on the trains, which DECREASES capacity, never a good thing!

I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!
The ride was ok, but I have been on better.
One of the big reasons that I did not like it as much is because of the new lap bars. They are very uncomfy(is that a word?). I had not ridden it before the makeover. That, and the fact that they find the need to staple you everytime and make it even worse.
To me, I find magnum or x2 more exciting than bizzaro.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Hmmm...It's too late now, but it would be interesting to have it listed twice on the ballot, once as S:ROS and once as Bizzaro just to get exactly that answer...

I tend to prefer a tighter lapbar.
For me it's not about the physical action of leaving the seat as much as it is about the feeling of the forces pushing me up. I'm of the belief that you don't have to leave your seat to appreciate negative G's.
That being said (and for the record I tend to mostly agree) - when you get a ferocious stapling like I and MANY others have experienced on Toro, the extreme negative g's combine to create a painful experience with the lapbars down TOO low. There are no other wooden coasters I can think of offhand where that becomes the problem that it can be on Toro....

Doesn't Mitch also post the results for current-year riders?
