Mission: Space

The building reminds me of the landscape in Alien. Creepy!

First, it's centrifuge, not centrifugal.

Forgive me, I meant to type centrifugally. It's called an adverb.

Mark W- yes. The "vomet comet" (NASA's airplane used for long dives to train for microgravity) induces vomiting in over 80% of passengers.

Awwww. I wasn't referring to you. I should've quoted. I'm sorry.

I was referring to, "Disney is not pumping all of this money and sponsorship (Compaq, NASA) for a centrifugal"

People who don't take the time to research, or even proofread, in a medium that perfectly allows for it are a pet peeve of mine.

The Internet is most people's one true chance at exhibiting intelligence, and they sometimes throw it to the wind. That's not to say that they're not intelligent, but that it sometimes gets lost or mired in bad communication skills. At any rate, you're not to blame. I'll let the adverb usage by this time ;)

The Vomit Comet is fun, from everything I've been told. After a few rides, you learn not to vomit. I *nearly* got a ride, but you really need to have research or something to do aboard the KC-135. They don't like visitors :(

This ride will have sevral pods holding 4 passangers each attached to a spinning arm. The pods will be totally enclosed and the inside will be themed to be a ship. A projecting screen will be in front of you. The pods will face towards the inside of the circlular path (the oppisite of Chaos, for example) and will be able to tilt frontwards or backwards. The frontwards tilt, with your head more faceing the floor on the outside of the pod, will give you the blastoff feeling. The backwards tilt, with your head more faceing the ceiling on the outside of the pod, will give you a weightless feeling.

This ride is supposed to be even more advanced then Spiderman, but will not be a track following type ride. I think it will be a huge hit and maybe it will get the attendance back up at EPCOT.

Any new updates on this???

Travel channel special about disney recently got me thinking about it again, just wondering if there were any new... discoveries/advances in construction.
