The belts seemed about the same to me. I had zero slack last year. I've lost some weight and now have about 1.5" of slack.

"your mileage may vary". Do they still say that in the car spots anymore?

I don't think I ever heard that one. Though I know what your saying. I only got 2 rides. 2nd last row, Blue and Red train.

3rd row yellow and 5th row blue seem fine to me. I'll have one more ride before gates open.
<edit to add>
6th row yellow seems fine as well. I have yet to see/use a new belt.

Lemme confirm that. On my three total rides on MF this week, the seat belts seemed to be approximately the same length as they did last year.
"YMMV". I've read that before, but never knew what it meant not cared enough to look it up. Who says the Interwebs aren't educational?

I am hardly a small person, 6' 6" and 270 lbs and had no trouble whatsoever on MF or Dragster. Rode each multiple times as the crowd was light while I was in the park.
This is reassuring. I had a friend hit the park who is about the same size as me and she had no problems either last weekend. Maybe they made some adjustments after opening day or the belts were just stiff or something? Just a thought.
Reassuring news none the less. Anyone else had problems since opening day?
I hate people. But I love gatherings. Isn't it ironic?
I think you may be right. They very well could have made some changes between opening Saturday and Sunday.
Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.
You'll see the phrase "YMMV" all the time on deal sites (like Slickdeals).

Hello, Its been a while since I posted anything, but I still visit the site everyday. We made our first trip of this season to CP today. I am the same weight and waist size (pants size of 38 waist) as the past few years. Rode the force only 1 time time today 2nd seat blue train. It was the same as last year of about 1-2 inches of slack. I have never had to do the walk of shame but have had some difficulties in he past with some seats on MF and some seats no problems at all. I seam to have some issues in the past with some of the seats toward the middle back parts of the train. I have noticed that not all seat belts are exactly the same size.

Admit it. you thought it had something to do with "Yo Momma...." :)
For what it's worth, after reading the info here we (my wife and myself) were worried about riding MF.
We had no problem at all. Like we easily made it. In fact, in two days at CP so far and a bunch of MF laps, I've not seen a single walk of shame and noticed just one person fail on the test seat.
Quite honestly, if it weren't for this thread I wouldn't have known there was a supposed problem.

Yeah, but I couldn't get any farther than that. "Your Mother....um, Makes...Vegetables!"

Having not yet ridden Millennium Force this year (haven't even tried it...)
I'm guessing that something was messed up with train assembly...probably the belts not routed right...and it got fixed after big problems on opening day.
I've seen that happen on rides at other parks, no reason it couldn't happen at Cedar Point, too.

Well I can't speak for rides prior to this past weekend. But, I made specific not that the belts are routed under the metal bar. I don't have the pic posted yet. But, it was discussed earlier in this thread that it was thought not to be possible to move it back and forth because of how it's mounted to the train. After looking at it closer this weekend, I would have to disagree with that assertion. It might not be easily moved, but It's physical attachment to the seat is far enough below that I think the belt could be moved back and forth between over and under the bar.
