Michigan's Adventure

MI Trooper, what is the park on the lake that is not a state park? We stayed at that one about 2 years ago on our first trip with our motorhome. I really liked it, and we could walk from our site to the lake. It was about 20 min. from the park. We drove to the park, but it was closing day and FREEZING cold, so I have yet to have my first MIA trip. I was also invited last year, but I had to work...my luck. We are going this summer with our CP season passes, however, and we'll probably be camping, so that brings me back to my original question. Any ideas on what I'm talking about?

And 310 ft, The money will come, just give it a couple of years.

I think it's funny when all you guys FREAK OUT!!

I think its funny when you and Vertigo make inflammatory remarks, and then have your arguments ripped apart piece by piece. I dunno, maybe that's just me, though.

If you don't think that KBF is a major park, then you are kidding yourself. KBF is a very large park in its collection of rides, the area that it takes up itself, and the amount of people that it brings in each year. If you can't see that then your concepts of the park are skewed by something that isn't allowing you to judge the park clearly by its own merits. I have a hard time thinking what could cause that, though, and why you would be so adamant about defending your completely arbitary view.

Vertigo, Being near Disney IS a good thing for KBF. First you say yourself that that doesn't make KBF a goldmine, and then the only reason you give is that you think without having any real knowledge that more people do Disney/Universal. You know what, you have nothing to back that up with, and even if you did, it wouldn't matter, because Knotts brings in tons of guests each year, and as long as they are getting through the gates, I'm sure CF could care less where they are coming from. Lets not forget that Knotts is surrounding by millions of people in all directions. It doesn't exactly have to be dependant on the tourist industry to bring in a lot of its patronage, and it certainly doesn't need to be dependant on unwarranted, half assed economic asssesments of the park from enthusiasts such as yourself.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

Were you north of the park? If so, then it may have been Pines Campground by Montague. Seems like it's the right distance...and it is just off of the lake. There is a park right next to it called Meinert Park. Could this be it?

If you were south of the park then there isn't that many options if it's not a state park. Woods on the Lake is in North Muskegon...not to far from the lake either.

I've just seen the future...what was I saying?

Don't forget, there is a KOA campground just across the highway from Lake Schnep-a-ho. For more camping information, check out the MA website.

You can also note that major parks are known in the tourist industry. The Big E is a very large park in its collection of rides, whoopie!!! Wyandot Lake is surrounded by millions of people in "all" directions. Canobie Lake brings in TONs of people every year. Whoopie!!! Knott's reputation certainly doesn't need to be dependant on unwarranted, half assed economic asssesments of the park from enthusiasts such as yourself.
