MF Front Seat Question

I know which guy you're talking about, although I didn't actually know his name. I have avoided the back of the train all year to get away from him as he always seems to be working there when I get on the ride (although I usually ride the same time of day every time I go up ... go figure). The two guys that work the front of the train in the late afternoon are awesome though, they pulled me out of the middle to go front seat cause I was a single!

There was one black guy who did his job very very well. He was really fast checking the trains and he did a great job dealing with the guests without yelling at them.

MDomnis, I didn't mean to complain on coaster buzz. All I'm saying is if anyone knew why? I'm not complaining, just asking a question. The only reason I was complaining was because I was describing what happened. I just wanted to know why.

It's MF... geez. Any seat is good at night.

However, I would suggest the back seat (at night). You can't see anything in the front seat anyway, and getting wipped over that hill in the dark makes the back seat so worth it.

And whats the point of getting mad? Life is short, enjoy the ride!

Cedar Point may have the world's best roller coasters, but the queue lines in this park are outrageous. Cedar Point has the world's longest wait times. Once, there was a 4-5 hour wait to ride Top Thrill Dragster and MF, the wait can be as much as 3 hours. There is no way I am gonna wait that long to ride one roller coaster. And this seating policy at Cedar Point isn't good. At any Six Flags park, no one will tell you where to sit. And since Kingda Ka has opened, I have no interest in visiting Cedar Point.
Yeah, Six Flags doesn't tell you where to sit.

They also don't make sure their rides run with mostly adequate staffing, their mechanics don't have to drive their own vehicles around the park, or that rides are even open in the first place.

OK, from this topic. I have seen you guys talking and sometimes complaining about how come I can't ride in the front seat when they are closing the park for the night. The reason why parks do this has been mentioned many times here on this topic, It has to do with not having to run 15 trains with only 2 people in it. Now all the parks I have been to (Including Silver Dollar City, Cedar Fair, Dollywood, Busch Parks, and even Six Flags) have this policy of where if there fewer people in line than there is room on a single train at the end of the night, then the ride operator would annouce that this would be last train of the night and you would have to move if there are more than 2 people in front of you.

I know that some parks including the Busch Parks do tend to shut the front line down early to keep people form having to move. At all the big rides at the 2 Busch Parks I've been to they have a sign in the que line that stats that the front a rear lines will close a half hour early, even though there is a sign there the ride ops may keep those lines open until they have deemed to full then close the line then. So the rule of thumb here is that if you get in line for a coaster and try for the front or back seat within a half hour (1 hour for rides like MF or just as cool) of closing you may not be guaranteed a front or rear seat on that ride, but you will be guaranteed to be on the last train of the night.

So you've been to every Six Flags? I'd like to have your bank account.

jpcoaster has a post on this page describing people at SFA that were waiting for the front told and told to move for the last ride of the night. It must have been upsetting when ride of steel mentioned about your long trip, but I'm sure the ride ops hear that all the time. One person who I used to go to parks with tried that all the time and it rarely worked. Why was WT down?

And why is this three-year-old topic being brought back from the dead?

Been happening all week, Jeff. Hadn't ya noticed? Same couple of people too.
Woah... just saw this thread... it may be 3 years old, but I can't believe that it was allowed to call out a specific park employee by name in repeated posts.
