Might as well call this one out as a bug, just because someone should...

The text needs to be parsed for links *before* the naughty word filter runs because in this case the filter broke the link. Visible text should be bowdlerized but the actual parsed link should not.
Yeah, not POP Forums' fault that publications use unbroadcastable URLs...

You aren't using the permalink, so I don't know which post you're referring to. Regardless, it's by design.

Oh, really? That's another one, I guess...anyway it was this one:

Oops. What I missed was that when you follow the permalink that isn't the URL you end up at; you get an anchor on the source page. Is that a change? Instead of copying the link the first time, I hit the Link button on the post and once I realized I was where I wanted to be I just copied the URL from the browser; saw it had an anchor on the end of it and figured that was it.
I figured the bu--er--feature was probably a "won't ******* fix" issue, but since it came up in a thread I might as well immortalize it here. 8-)

The URL with the hash is relative to your view, but if you have moderator privileges, there are more pages if there are deleted posts. The permalink will forward you to the correct page regardless of your privileges. It's been that way for probably ten years.
