Cedar Point's Mean Streak roller coaster, which closed last month, is in the midst of a dramatic makeover that coaster fans say could make it one of the best rides in the park. Steel track appears near the ride, along with Rocky Mountain Construction vehicles.

Sprig you may want to reread your post about waiting for someone to accept your wager. So far you're out $60 worth of adult beverages.
The date on the "original offer" was "29 May 2017".
i have zero intention of paying anything over a typo.
the original meanstreak was already open and running by may 2016, as it had first opened 11 May 1991.
i think i'm owed $60 dollars by those that want to bicker over the typo.

I will absolutely take you up on that wager.
thanks for editing your post with the typo only after i posted that i would accept
I think you need to grow a sense of humor and some humility.
Yeah, man, it was a joke. Now with all the fun sucked out of it.
I don't care when the ride opens and I can get my own beer. (And I don't spend 20 bucks.)

At the risk of perpetuating another tedious, off-season CoasterBuzz argument, you might want to check the clearly marked time stamps of my edit and your next post.
And then reread RCMAC's post above this one.
Typo? Heck the only part of the date that remained consistent was "May"... And in Las Vegas, a bet is a bet, careless or not. No backsies.
But then again, what do I know?
Is it too late to get in on this wager? ;)

Coasterbuzz is not the place for you, then. Not because we disagree with you about Mean Streak or whatever, but because we have no sympathy for people that don't reread their posts before they publish them. Pretty much what I'm saying is shut up and sit down....

Fixed that missing comma for you ;-)
Hey, let's ride (random Intamin coaster). What? It's broken down? I totally didn't expect that.

I'm not sure that any of the respondents were taking this as serious as you seem to be. The issue was with Sprig's lack of a sense of humor, not his failure to fess up to a typo.
Interesting, though, that the guy who thought it was cool to badger Knott's Berry Farm until they gave him free tickets, after the park gave his family exemplary care for something that was no fault (by his own admission) of the park is here complaining about being expected to come through on an offer that was his fault: a typo.
(We all make typos, I make typos (especially now while my desktop computer is on the fritz and I have to type these out with a single finger on an iPad); just saying, If you're going to make such an offer, read before posting.)

Nope, you added an unnecessary comma.
I feel we have reached a new low in off-season banter. My next comment will likely be "Nanny nanny boo boo" or "nuh-UHHH!!"

Your mom.
Leak? That ship's sailed. Searching on Twitter or Instagram turns up plenty of pics and a story with pics from the Cleveland NBC affiliate.
I did that and still don't see pics of the airtime hill between the first drop and large turn. Care to point us in the right direction? All I see are pictures of the large turn hill.
