MBP Hurricane, why is it so rough?

O trust me Gator those bruisews were very much apreciated. :). But the thing is, Ive done around 40 on Mean Streak and came away with only a mild headache.

Have you ever considered that it may not be the park that's the problem, but YOU???

joey isch, any woodie that DOESN'T give you bruises after 35(!) laps wasn't worth riding in the first place.  I mean, c'mon, 35 laps is a riding marathon on a woodie....

I actually found the Swamp Fox to be one of the best woodies out there. It is incredibly smooth and the air time was excellant. Maybe its because I rode in front?

The only down fall of this coaster is its price. Yeah, there are some more expensive, but this one seemed a bit pricey for only one short ride.

Why does no one like this coaster? I think it's awesome!!! My personal favorite parts are actually the helices too...they really throw you to the side...i love it!

I'm not saying that I don't like it, its just because it a little rough around the helix sections.

The first helix was a little to jolting for my personal liking, but the finale helix was not to jolting, yet not to slow to be fun.

The rides decent, But it could really use some PTC trains.

I'm sure you could easily ride Lightnig Racer 50 times and never get so much as a hangnail. Yet its one of the most fun coasters I've ever ridden.

I love the Lightning Racer, but my only problem there is with the two other woodies there. It may seem like i'm dissing Hershey Park, or woodies in general but I didn't like the Wildcat or Comet. First off the Wildcat was very rough, many people say that this is the best twister there is. Then I must have cought it on a bad day, or something of that nature. The Comet wasn't rough at all though, the only complaint about it is it to slow. The trims uptop the first turnaround slow the ride down even more. The finale would have been a lot more fun without the trims.

The Hurricane isn't that bad at all. It'll take a little out of you marathonong it, but I think the stress on the body is amplified by the walk down and up stairs. In fact, some of the last rides I got there this year were incredible.

There was air on the second hill, floating into the first helice, & jolts of air at the helice top in the middle of the first one! I was sitting in the second row, was popped out of my seat during the helice, great fun. Night rides in the front are nice. There is some whipping action, but I enjoy it, it's never been too excessive, IMO. I think the red train is actually smoother.......

The future is what bothers me. The ride will be getting rougher, they will stop taking care of it. I've seen some shady practices go down at the Pavilion, lol! The Wild Mouse there has crazy loose lapbars, it's truely scary. When dealing with the Pavilion, you can see that they really don't care about any complaints or concerns you may have, they give out gift bags, apologize, and act like nobody's in charge. It's a weird place.

Really, I guess hitting the Hurricane on a day when it's recently had maintenance, and there's no roped-off seats, it's all good. But when it's not a holiday weekend or peak season weekends, they let her go.........

Gee I hate to agree with you, but Lightning Racer is a blast while being smoother than any other woodie I've ridden.
