MaXair will be up and running May 10th.

Shame its my favorite non coaster ride in the park or maybe even favorite ride in the park :) It's still fun to see the Eifel Tower upside down or the Horseshoe of SOB upside down. There just isn't many mature trees around :)

You can see the Eiffel Tower from maXair?
Only I can! :)
That would be a very clear day indeed!

Still no MaXair today. Guys were working on it today, but not sure what is going on.:(
^You deceived all of us. :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Bad day all around for rides. Worst opening day I have seen in a very long time.

It really wasn't that bad of a day. Just some off season bugs. Every ride was running just some break downs here and there.
Maverick was down off and on most of the day, MaxAir was down all day, Raptor had some very extended downtime, Skyhawk might as well have been down all day, Magnum had half the seats roped off and was setting up every 10 minutes. I could go on but why?

I have been at every opening day for the last 20 years and this is the worst I have seen. It would be a good day at most parks but for CP, it's not good.

Perhaps the return of Bill Spehn will help things out.

Heck my brother woudl have got a lapbarless ride on Maggie even with the op yelling check every time. All he did was pull on the restraint, which was not down even one click, yell check and proceed. My brother was smart enough to pull it down, but someone else may not be.

Believe me, it was not a good day and I was not the only one who noticed as I heard the same thing from some very long term non seasonal employees.

The restrooms were also suffering. I think I went to the john four or five times over the course of the whole day. I kid you not -- every single time I found an open stall, the toilet was covered in p*ss. Yes, I know it was Opening Day, but it wasn't a balls to the wall day for the park like July 4th or anything.

^That was another thing I noticed! The restromm back in Frontier Town next to Wagon Wheel, the Magnum Restroom, and the Red Garter restroom were all in terrible condition. The floors were soaking wet, and there was number one and two on all the toilet seats.

This is not up to par for Cedar Point even if it is opening day.

It's not his job to fix and maintain the rides though... that's maintenance.

It is his job to fix the problems with operators on Maggie and elsewhere though.

For what it's worth, I finally made my first KI trip of the season on Saturday and Delirium's apex height was the lowest it has ever been!!

I was hoping for relief with MaXair, but it seems its operational status is still "TBA" to be very generous!

That's because people are pigs, I won't hold CP responsible for that. They can clean the stall and the next person in can just p*ss all over the seat making the work useless. Why can't people just lift the seat? I find that problem all over, and until people stop being lazy and selfish the problem will continue.

If I have to use a stall I just go to one of the hotels on Point, I find it to be much cleaner.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

^People may be pigs but that doesn't explain a half an inch of water on the floor at all times.

I was at KI friday, and noticed that Delerium was really "grindy" (for lack of a better word) on the spinning motion... It was almost like sitting in a car with someone just learning to drive a manual... seems like these rides are having some issues...
^^I didn't notice it as grindy at all on Saturday, but just that the swings were the lowest I had ever seen them...

On a positive note, I noticed Drop Tower was starting to spin a little bit in the beginning of its ascent!

No maXair all week. Some days there were guys on the top working, some days not. Thursday they had the floor lowered and the ride swung slightly away from center, but I never saw it in motion. My hotel room faced that way and there was no activity at night, either.

What gives? Down since early October?
