maXair "A" frames going up right this second

Now to maXair, I thought the frame would be bigger (I haven't seen Delirium in person but it did look big in pictures). Still a perfect addition for the park, hopefully I can get out there next year when I can drive...

Don't forget that the riders swing to a height well above the height of the frame. Having ridden Delerium, I can tell you that it is probably the most impressive flat ride I've been on. It actually feels quite a bit like riding RipCord with the swinging motion and the wind in your face. I think a ride like this is a much-needed addition for CP.

If you don't want the archived picture of the ride just go to this link.

The lenses on those cameras don't make anything look big. Even then, the ride doesn't look big until it's in motion. Check out Gonchar's video...

Looks like they've assembled the pendulum on the ground.

CP.com has posted pictures of yesterdays action. Those footers are really neat, not at all what I thought they would be like.
If you look on the webcam now, there is an fire engine there. Did anyone see why it's there or if anythin happened earlier?
Looked on earlier and looked like they were going to put the pendulum up, but now looks to appeer its apart.
and there's an ambulance next to Disaster Transport

Just went to check the webcam tonight and noticed they didn't archive the image from the day. So all you can see is the black screen? Did they finish anymore of the ride today?

what i meant by my previous statement was if the popularity of these things actaully grows, do you think that these will pop up at parks all over, like the tower rides.

dannerman, check www.pointbuzz.com

It was apparently a small fire in a building where they were doing some welding. No one hurt, little damage

As of 12:27pm eastern time here in buffalo ny, it appears that the Giant arm has indeed been attached to the drive, but there crane is holding up the arm horizontaly on the opposite end. I must say even though it is just another clone of delerium, I like the color scheme CP choose it's allot more promising in actuall than it is in the artist rendition, but then again that's why its a rendition.

As for the number of Giant Frisbees outside of the U.S., there is one (Sledgehammer) at Bobbejaanland in Belgium, and 2 or 3 in Japan. I'm pretty sure Fuji-Q and Nagashima each have one.

There are similar rides from other manufacturers as well, such as the Mondial Revolution (Psyclone) at PCWonderland, and the Intamin versions at Drayton Manor and Lotte World.

It seems as if most major construction on the ride it self has finised the ring of seats have been installed. It appears most of what's left would just be decking underneath then finalizing clean up and preperation all around the ride and midway. Btw dosnt Delerium have some sort of control house for the computers ?. I could swore I remember seeing this building right next to the ride when I went to PKI last summer. I wonder where ? or if there will be a visable storage building that will house the computer components of the ride ?.

They will be housed in the former Kiddieland Refreshments building. That's were the small fire took place last week.

Like I said on PB... I'm sure there's a ton of cables, hoses, compressors, pumps, electrical work, the control system, etc. left to do.
