Marine World officially reveals details of Vertical Velocity redesign

Six Flags Marine World has publicly announced their plans for the 2002 season, which begins March 16th. Riders can expect a modified version of Vertical Velocity, along with a new show line-up and new exhibits. SFMW Online has all the details, straight from the park itself.

Yes, the twist will be considered an inversion. So, you can say V2 will have anywhere from 2-3 inversions now.

Again, this remodel was due to the FAA height restriction in the area. Medusa has varying heights from the station, lift, and first drop. It it under the height restriction for some reason. V2 wasn't.. plain and simple. It was either remodel it or face MILLIONS in fines and make the government POed at the park. They did the right thing. If they ever intend on getting a variance for something larger, it was in their best interest to comply with the ruling.
