Manhattan Express now called The Roller Coaster

Okay, you're all clearly missing the best part of the new trains -- they have big ass chrome rims. Holy Hell.

Rob, check your PMs.

Everyone else, conmtinue discussing the LONE remaining T-n-D coaster...I wish I liked the entire ride more, but that single elment is one of *those* inversions...one that I find impossible NOT to like...

On the plus side, at least OF the two T-n-D coasters, we lost the worse one and kept the better one. Premier lap/ankle bars would have beena good *start* for new trains...

I don't have a PM, gator. I'll send you one... maybe you can try responding through that?

What does "T-n-D" mean? I know what coasters you're talking about but am unfamiliar with the abbreviation!

^ Ooops, sorry.

Twist-n-Dive.... :). And you DO have a PM now...took longer than expected to compose/edit. LOL!

bill, waiting for AT LEAST five years since I first suggested that B&M incorporate one of those super-sweet elements into one of THEIR rides...but instead I got a Jojo Roll....and I feel cheated... ;)

Yes, and I responded. Not sure why the wires got crossed!

Ah, Twist and Dive. Makes sense. I remember when Viper was first shown in it's prototype form in the early 90's, I think TOGO referred to it as a Mega Coaster or something along those lines. I guess I don't have your appreciation of those rides as I always refer to Viper and Manhattan Express as Little POS and Big POS, respectively ;)

LOL, I wouldn't say I "appreciate" the RIDES so much, but that particular ELEMENT, yeah, I've got a soft spot for that...going upside down into a drop is WAY fun...

Probably, like the inverted TopHat, it's a element designed "just for me".. ;)

Unfortunately, THE Togo I thought of as a "megacoaster" (gatorspeak for REALLY fun ride) was the stand-up at PKI. The one at PCW does come pretty close though. The one at PKD is an abomination...one of my bottom-five steelies - and I've ridden RC-48, Rye's Windstorm, and Iron Wolf, so you gotta be pretty bad to make THAT list...LOL! :)

There is still a T-n-D in Japan.

The new trains seem like a waste if they don't improve the ride much, but maybe there is more to it than that.

^ Sweet, Parker...thanks! Kinda makes sense that there's a Togo *in Japan* that has one of those....I'd still kinda prefer that BMRX was running, but....still a cool thing to look forward to if/when I ever make Japan.
Yes the new shoulder bars only come over the shoulders and not down in front of you. I loved the ride in mid august with the new trains. I was almost ready to power ride it. I guess i got the Togo immunity gene.

Oh and by the way "ANYONE BUT THE YANKEES!"...

O's baby. Yeah they may stink but I still follow them. *** Edited 9/6/2006 5:39:10 PM UTC by dragonoffrost***

Watch the tram car please....
Sorry about you being an Orioles fan!

I've only been on one TOGO standup coaster and it was the one at PKD, which was pretty dreadful. Not sure it makes my "bottom steel" list though, which includes the aforementioned RC-48 and Rye Windstorm as well as SFMM's Viper, Great Adventure's GASM and Mt. Olympus' Dive to Atlantis.
