Not that I should have ever considered in the first place. Just an idear fer yer 'spare time' along with the default page and rct contest. ;)

I wish I could. Ever since Spellchecker.net started asking for money, I had to drop them. And people find it nuts that I'm asking for money, as if advertising is the key to everything.
If you stumble across a good alternative, do let me know. I've been deleting garbage a lot lately where the spelling was beyond bad.

Someone please find a free spell-checker, before my brain rots from reading stuff like this! The poor grammar, etc. I can get used to (I mean, just look at our school systems), but that much poor spelling almost caused me to blow a gasket....

People should learn to use a dictionary OR how about typing a post in Word or something, running the spell check and then cutting and pasting into C-buzz?
I always found that to be faster and easier then using the Spell Check feature anyway.

Kurt, I don't think anyone can claim to have perfect spelling nor perfect grammar, but the thing is that it would be great if people would completely read over what they're about to submit, and look for spelling errors and grammar fouls. I mean, come on, I'd hate to think that so many other individuals posting here stumbled through the Anne Arundel county public education system here in Maryland, where you can graduate even if you can't do three-times-seven without the use of a calculator.

coderGirl, Anne Arundel is a GREAT school system compared to what's right across the Bay Bridge....Queen Anne's County was SOOO far behind when I moved there - after third grade, mind you - that it was TWO years' behind the public school I left in NJ.....
thank goodness there was another option come middle school....Severn....and that they were willing to finance my education....learned more there than I ever did in college at UF....
Here is a spell checker that checks your text in forums and such you have to download on internet explorer.

rollergator, your post is both hilarious and sad, because it is so accurate. We've seen far too many posts like that, and the people that make them really don't seem to care. Making a typo here and there is one thing -- I think we've all done that. But to have a post that is near-gibberish...there's just no excuse for it, unless you are new to the English language.
millrace, couldn't agree more. I know several people on this site have said that they keep a dictionary close to the computer to look up words that they are unsure about. Sadly, I think the people that could use that help the most probably think it's too "nerdy" to bother with it. Typing it in Word and then pasting it over is a great alternative -- I do that whenever I'm going to have a long post.

No Dictionary needed for me. When I come across a word i can't spell i just use my mind to think of a synonym....Sadly, i couldn't find a synonym for synonym.
