Lose Anything?

I haven't but the person sitting next to me on Medusa lost his cell phone...and another time on the same ride my friend's sunglasses went flying off his face never to be seen again.
I lost my car keys and my locker key at Knotts while doing ERT on Ghostrider. Luckily, I had just dropped my car key on the exit platform when I took something out of my pocket. So, I got that back as soon as a came back for another ride. But the locker key, that was fingered from deep in my pocket (get your mind out of the gutter) by my baby Ghostrider.

That was not my 1st time I lost something at a theme park though. I lost my car keys a month earlier a Disneyland while riding the Mattterhorn. I think they just feel out when I sat down. Good old Disney found them, and I got them in the mail a few days later.

Now, this is non coaster related. But, it did happen in a theme park. In Oct of 2000 I lost my jacket at Knotts Halloween Haunt.

As you can see, I have very, very bad luck when I go to theme parks.

I've never lost anything, but I have cough a peice of paper on my chest on MF. Going down the first hill, that sucker stung, LoL. I've also cought sunglasses and regular glasses on Magnum.

The only thing I've lost on a ride is a couple of CoasterMania buttons, usually on Gemini. Once I thought I had lost my penknife on a coaster, but the thing showed up a month later under a recliner at home.

For those who wear eyeglasses: I wear mine on everything and have never even come close to losing them. But I have seen enough people lose or almost lose theirs to develop a hypothesis: The easiest way to lose your glasses on a ride is to take them off and either hold them or put them in a pocket. On the end of your nose where they belong, if they fit properly, they're probably safe.

On Valleyfair's Corkscrew I lost a battery. I often carry small batteries with me for no reason.

Cedar Fair hates valleyfair... boohoo.
In the Cyclone at SFNE, my season pass fell out and into the padding of the seat. When I got out I reported it to the operator, because I thought I lost on the ride, but then the next passenger handed it to me and said she found it in the seat. from that moment on, I learned to keep all my belongings in my back pockets, buttoned up safely.
I lost a lighter and some change on Chaos (no surprise there) and once when we were riding Magnum my husband got smacked in the forehead with a pen that someone else lost - it was weird, because the pen didn't move, we ran into it as it was suspended over the bunny hop. As an employee, I've rescued the usual keys, wallets, money, sunglasses, games prizes, prescription medication, tickets for the next day, inflatable toys, and so forth from different rides.

Hold on to your stuff! :)

What will the new RIDE feature be? Just another day or two to wait and see!
I have 2 of the best stories I believe hehe.

Once at Carowinds my friend and I were about to ride Thunder Road. I always sat on my hat but he told me "why are you sitting on it ive been wearing mine all day on rides". Needless to say, he lost his expensive White Sox hat during the ride. I laughed.

On Millennium Force I was sitting in the very front seat beside a mexican guy. Near the end of the ride a beeper (yes, a beeper) came flying out of nowhere and landed in his hand. When we entered the station he confusingly looked at it then handed it to an attendent. Where it came from I don't know since we were in the front seat.
When at CP back in August, I lost a Polaroid disposable camera on Gemini. I was pretty sure I dropped it in the seat, so on the next ride, I asked the ride op if anyone had turned in a camera. He said he would check, and then he started the ride. When we came back into the station when the ride was over, the jackass had left! I was SO mad, I had some great pics on there!!

I was riding the great nor'easter in wildwood nj. Its a Vekoma slc way out on the pier near the ocean. They make you pay for each ride individually. I had just bought a 100 pack of tickets and on my first run on the nor'easter, i lost it! I was soo pissed i yelled at the attendant because he wouldnt answer me when I asked him where to go. Even though I got a refund for all my tickets, I was pretty ticked off for the rest of the day.
O also when i was on speed the ride in vegas, someones hat fell off onto my lap and in my on-ride photo, Its blocking the flash so it looks like i have no head.

I lost a contact on Magnum once. Nick lost his prized stussy hat on Gemini last year. He cried.

I lost my favorite Mossimo hat on Loggers Run. Yes, Loggers Run. I filed a lost and found for it and like 4 weeks later, in the mail, I got a hat sent to me. It wasn't mine, but it was a pretty neat Mossimo hat.

I've lost 1 hat, and my friends have lost hats also.

Why does everyone lose stuff on Magnum and MF?!
I have two interesting stories

1. My older brother and I were lucky enough to snag the back seat of Millennium Force, but while traveling down the first hill, my brothers cigarette package shot out of his pocket and rocketed skyward to what looked like 600 feet in the air! It was quite surprising for the both of us.

2. While riding Samurai at Lagoon (which has gondolas in which your legs hang down below you) my friends got a novel idea and began swinging their legs while the ride was operating. The gondolas, which are able to perform 360 degree loops, began flipping upside down like there was no tommorow. It was fun until one of my $120 dollar Dr. Marten sandals flew off my feet and into the sky. The ride happened to be the vertical posistion and the crowd claimed the sandal flew in the air, then landed in the employee parking lot behind the ride. The employees did not cooperate and I still haven't gotten my sandal back. I was not a happy camper walking around the park with one sandal that day :(
I should have know better being in the industry this long, but I lost my Advantix camera on the Atlantis ride at Sea World Orlando, it was submerged. I need a new one. I lost my keys on the Pirate at Kennywood years back, but they found them.

Of course, when I worked at Conneaut Lake, several girls lost their bikini tops on the back turn. What a greeting when the train returned into the station.
I have never lost anything except alot of change on the Zipper, but my brother's hat fell off while he was on Serial Thriller at SFAW and you could hear this lady scream"SOMEONE FELL OUT" it was sooooo funny.

Amen to that.

This leads to my major gripes with Six Flags America. For some odd reason they insist that you remove your glasses, on both Joker's Jinx and Superman:Ride of Steel. Sorry, folks, my glasses stay put on the Flight of Fear's and Millennium Force, JJ and SROS aren't gonna touch 'em...

I lost my hat in Hershey on Wildcat and Lighting Racer. Luckily both times someone caught them. The time on Racer, the attendent got a kick out of it since she knew me from working there and it gave us both something to laugh about.
