Looping Coaster that Drove on Public Street...

Hello,

I have a older film photo that isn't scanned of a looping coaster that drove down the street while the coaster riders got some serious ERT.

Anyone have a guess what I might be describing?

(I don't have a scanner, but I do have a digicam I can take a photo of the photo and it will at least be viewable.)

PS: How long should I keep everyone in suspense?

Im guessing the looping coaster at Six Flags over Texas. Shockwave.

I remember a few years ago they made a parade float for the Rose Bowl Parade that was a mini working coaster complete with a loop.  I believe it was like 1992 (one of the years Wisconsin went because those are the only years I watch the parade, Go Big Red).  Anyways the loop was circular and really hurt the riders of the float.

There was also a looping float in the Rose Parade back in the late 80's.  I went to see the Tournament of Roses floats the day afterward, and remember this as one of them.  I think my parents may have pictures, but that would be a mission.

It certainly didn't take very long for someone to figure out. I think this photo was from '82
BTW, what dealership was selling these? And can I get one with optional air conditioning?

Ow! That's a pretty tight loop. Talk about G forces.

If I remember correctly, I think the riders went through the circuit well over 100 times during the course of the parade.  I beleieve there were two sets of three riders.

What would Markey say about that thing?

Oh my goodness, Honda can make a rollercoaster but not a car? Naw just messin. But, that does look painful, it's pretty small lookin.  maybe you don't have a restraint on it so they had to make it small enough to have the G-Forces keep you inside the car... I don't know, it's just guess though.... I wasn't even born yet!

I'll buy one :)

Ouch!

"This Movie spent way to much money on special effects, look they couldnt even afford to buy those little dudes shoes!"
Yes, it's a small loop, but they aren't moving quickly either. I mean look at the loop on a screaming serpent kit, if the g forces were only a function of the size of the loop, as some here seem to believe, then your poor kinex would be flat by the time they got out. The total height of the ride probably isn't more than fifteen feet, how big would you WANT the loop to be? 20? 30? Standard arrow size?
Plus Honda built it right? Oh wait they didn't? Oh, ok. Yah I see your point but I wasn't saying that it should be big, I'm saying that it probably was small so the riders could stay in the car, hmmmm that would be interesting to see the people fall out of a 10 ft loop, it'd be weird though........... ::ponders on the thought::

I'm too lazy to put anything here....
I've been telling you all, Rideman is a coaster genius! :)

He would say, "See, this proves my point that amusement rides ARE dangerous!".

This thing looks like high speed thrill coaster on crack! I have to wonder what the max hieght of the riders would be, because I highly doubt anyone of my hieght could fit in one of those cars.
