Looks Like Bad News For SFMM Regarding X

You can't be sure other than from an official release, but these reports started surfacing shortly after testing. At first they were dismissed as the people being pessimists, but they are starting to seem more credible. Further, I think that in the deleted thread there was information from other sources other than the alleged ex-employee that hinted at problems.
CoasterDude316j you are right on.
The Trackmasters comments were very interesting, but everyone I talk to keeps saying the problems with X is not the car design, but a weight and strain issue, which I wondered from the beginning. People at SFMM are saying the delay won't last long, but you never know.

I wish people would stop acting like B&M is the only coaster company alive.  Sure they are a very good company but we have to give other companys a chance especially arrow.  Who knows, in five years Totally SFMM might be saying," Why cant B&M build a super-dooper-turbo coaster right? Its only the first 400 ft tall complete circut coaster ever built. Why cant Arrow come in and clean up B&Ms mess." Maybe, Just Maybe

Why was that thread deleted anyway?
I'm afraid, Will X work or not?? That was the highlight of Sfmms new coasters! If not then add a woodie.

Here is a good reason why CP stays away from the prototype coasters.

Multiple reasons. If it wasn't true, it was libel (or slander... I forgot which.) If it was true, then the person was obviously telling information which is sensitve and should not be in the GP (and yes, we are GP in this case.) Answer this, would you want to be the one hosting either libel or sensitive information? That can put you at a lot of risk of law suits. That was probably a small factor of why rumors are gone now.

I want my Hay Bayler back! Forget new rides! HAY BAYLER! While they are at it, why not bring back Tidal Wave too?

Not only that, but the guy couldn't even spell...

I know many engineers and designers where spelling isn't there strong point. The reason for this is because the math and science portion of their brain is used most often (right), and not their left side which is used for English and spelling.

Don't get me wrong, some are good at both, but many are right-side minded.

yeah they cant spend a few extra weeks getting them to work right

"It was sure nice of Mr. Crab to give me a job here!" "And he was sure nice to start you off at $50 an hour! When i started, i had to pay Mr. Crab $100 an hour!"

People need to stop complaining, X will open next year most likely but it will still blow the competition away! I mean, yeah it has it's problems and so have many of SFMM's coasters before they open. Want to know why! Because they are prototypes! They aren't just something that is the tallest or fastest. I mean look at CP's rides. It looks like someone said "hey build me the tallest fastest (fill in the blank)" And the design looks like it took 2 days. MF is a great ride, GP loves it, Enthusiasts love it however, don't you think they could have added a little more to it.......yes! MM goes for tallest and fastest sometimes, actually a lot however, not as much as CP. Both are excellent parks however, this year or in 02 I have to easily lean towards MM for X becuase it's going to be pretty boring if CP just get's the 2 twists impulse which I have heard from TONS of high up sources and website owners. I at least like that MM does stuff origional. I mean you can say or MM won their record off of a shuttle coaster or a kiddie coaster what cheap ways! Yes, I do think if they did that just for the record it is cheap however, the GP LOVES Deja Vu, they always come off happy. And CP will do the same if they get the Impulse next year, I'm not going to say that won't be one hell of a ride though.
X still has a long way to go, it won't be open till 02 and I know that for sure (just went to MM yesterday and talked to my firends who are area supervisors). However, when it does open it will be awesome, people just need to have some patience! I mean don't be mad at Arrow for it having problems, let's be happy it was BUILT!!! I do know also that they WILL have it open before CoasterCon next year for us ACErs, I can't wait for that, I even talked to Del on that one!

Are area supervisors like janitors for a certain part of the park? I know that's what one of my friends called himself when he was working there, lol.

Whether X opens or not is beyond me, however I think we owe it to MM for the fact that they are testing the limits of rollercoasters. They could have gone with a new Arrow looper or an ArroBATic, but they wanted to test the limits, see what else could be done. At the same time, they made coaster enthusiasts ecstatic on going to this park. Hopefully X won't be like the suspended rollercoaster prototype and be demolished after 3 years.

Are you gonna be an engineer CPGenius?  If not, I think someone should tell you it should be "their".  :)   Just thought it was funny is all.

Well, whatever the reason is, I really hope it does not affect the future of Arrow negatively. They are my babies, and I only wish the best for them.
In the 50's people, and engineers, said man could never get to the moon, but they did. In this day and age there is no doubt in my mind that the engineers can make this coaster work. It may take a while, but it will work. And after spending 45 minutes last Thursday evening in the driveway at SFMM staring at this awesome looking coaster I can't wait for it to open, even though I live 1800 miles away. We were dissapointed that it did not open in time for our trip/ honeymoon, but despite most things being closed part of or all day on Friday we had a great time. Look for a trip report coming to a computer near you soon.

Just a couple of G-force junkies!
I am very surprised at how many people badmouth arrow. just because X ain't openning when the people want it to makes arrow a crappy company. I guess building a #1 rated coaster (magnum) doesn't give them any credibility at all!
You're right Cedar Point Addict, I mean, who cares that they've made the first steel rollercoaster, the first coaster to go upside-down, the first hypercoaster, the first under the track coaster, have great rides such as Magnum, Top Gun and Viper, they messed up on one coaster trying to push the limits for the entire coaster world. After doing it so many times, why not go off on them just for a small delay? They deserve it for trying to change the way we ride these works of art. Damn, I think most of us would be happy with only wodden coasters, right?
(can you feel the hint of sarcasm in this post?)

I think it is very understandable that the coaster is not up yet, I mean a coaster like this has never been made before so there is going to be problems.

willthethrill, funny that you would ask that, because yes, I do plan on becoming an engineer. A mechanical one.

That's pretty odd I used the correct form of "their" twice but didn't the first time. I usually try to avoid mistakes like that, but I was in a hurry.
