Longest wait for a ride

My longest would have to be 2 hours for Face/Off back in 99. Hardly seemed worth it after that front seat ride on The Beast later in the day.

------------------
(The other) Shaggy

X- 3 hours, 3 hours, 1 hour, 2.5 hours (all within the 2 day visit, but well worth it!)
TTD- 3 hours, 2.5 hours, 2.5 hours, 2.5 hours
Millennium Force, 2001, 2002- 2.5 hours
Snake River Falls, opening year- 2 hours
Raptor, opening year- 2 hours

I snap flyers.

90 minutes for splash mountain at disneyland and longest wait for a coaster would be an hour for the front of superman at sfmm and the same for the front of montu at busch tampa.

I hope they kill that iron yuppie. Thinks he's so big. The great homer simspon

just over 7 hours for Dejavu at SFGAm

Good ride, but not worth the wait considering what else I could have ridden during that time.

4 1/2 on AAA day in 2000.Well worth the wait to ride it before main GP.

I'll second that, but my MF wait that day was only just over 3 hours. Unfortunately, I waited longer for TTD on opening day. 3.5 hours and I got in as a JCC'er!

4 hours for MF on July 4, 2000. All other rides had approximately an hour wait.

Wow most of you people never wait for anything!

Millennium, 4 1/2 hours (twice) in 2000

Dragster, 5 1/2 hours opening day, 4 1/2 hours a week later

X, 3 1/2 hours one day, 4 1/2 the next.

Those are the only ones I would consider waiting that long for. I usually consider any wait under 1 hour for a "major" ride a short line and will happily wait in it. The only one in recent memory I've said no way to was a 2 1/2 hour wait for Goliath at SFMM - no way that ride is worth that wait.

Edit: Forgot, flat rides:

Tomb Raider: 2 1/2 hours (last year)

Pitt Fall: 2 hours (opening year)

TTD = 4 hours on media day & 3.5 hours in mid June.

Mean Streak = 3 hours in it's first season, when I was there with someone who didn't have a season pass.

Top Thrill Dragster: 2 hrs, 15 min.

Face/Off: 2 hrs.

Rocket Rods: 2 hrs.

De-lay-ja Vu SFGAm: 1 hr, 45 min.

If you arrive at a park early, or ride toward the end of the evening, you can typically avoid some of the hellacious waits described by others above. I can't imagine waiting for 3+ hours to ride anything.

Projected count for 2003: 32 parks & 110 coasters. Actual as of 6/30/03: 20 parks & 78 coasters.

IMHO no ride is worth waiting more then 90 minutes for, although once I did end up waiting 2.5 hours for X [but never, ever again!].

Edit: I stand corrected. Once again, my opinion differs from the "accepted majority". Withdrawn ...

4 1/2 hrs for TTD...which still didnt open( the day it closed on me was the last day it has operated )

2 1/2 hrs for Volcano: The Blast Coaster on memorial day(VERY busy day)

About 3 hrs for Wicked Twister on my 2nd day (2 day trip) to CP last year. Me and my friend got in early with hotel advantages, and waited that long to be sure we got to ride just incase it broke down for the day while we werent there. Turned out to be worth it, was our 2nd fav ride in the park(in back row).

Pittdesigner - just because I don't feel any ride is worth a longer wait doesn't mean you or anyone else can't wait until their heart is content for a ride.

2 hours for my first ride on B:TR @ SFOT. I had no idea that over half of the que is hidden. The second trip, the line started in the same place, but went straight through the que and took 55 minutes (my shortest wait for that ride). I never know how long the line is until I've been in it for 45 minutes.

After multiple re-rides on Great White @ SWT, I don't think I could take B:TR's line ever again.

I waited 3 1/2 hours the opening day to ride Phantoms Revenge for the sexond time. The ride broke down while it was raining i stood there and watched a mechanic climb the steps with a screwdriver waving it in between the "eyes" of the lift hill. It was the best 31/2 hours i've waited!

Easily 2 years for MF. The 3 times I was there in 2001 & 2002 it was down and I finally got my first ride on it this past June! Seriously, I'd say 2&1/2 hours for X at SFMM (including being taken out of line by security when a kid in front of me threw a full soda into the line and they thought I was with that group...), followed by 1&3/4 hours for Mantis at CP, 1 hour for Raptor at CP, S:RoS at SFDL, and RR at SFMM.
2 hours for Batman the Ride @SFGAm in 1992 and close to two hours for the front row on S:UF @SFGAm on opening day.
2.5 hours for Hellevator back in the Riverside days.

SFNE Central v5- Online Six Flags New England Resource

4 hrs.; MF second day open. Also, TTD for about 3 hrs.

Well, I used to be able to see TTD from my house, then I moved.
