Longest wait for a coaster. Do you have a time limit?

Dorneydante,

Do yourself a favor, and remember that I'm the one who started this thread, and in a somewhat jokingly manner(According to me), I felt like asking how this thread became so far off course.

Okay, with that slappy.

If I find a park to get a little too crowded (Read 90+Minute Waits for the rides), and I know the park is open until 10 PM or Later I'll Get my Hand Stamped and go visit some other attractions in the area and return to the park after Dinnertime. Unless there's a Special Event (A Sellout Concert or a Fireworks Display for example) The Crowds will often begin to thin out after 6:00 PM, and then I return to enjoy the Rides without the Long Waits! There's been sometimes where I've seen strange things occur concerning Crowds. I once found myself going to Disney's Magic Kingdom three days after Christmas, and I had seen the News Reports on TV saying how they had to turn people away the last two days, so I feared for the worst :( but I got there and the Place was a Ghost Town! I rode Space Mountain so many times that I lost Count of the number of times I rode it (And when I stopped Riding it it was not because it was time to go home but because my stomach was telling me one more ride and you can kiss your dinner goodbye! :) (The next day they had to turn people away again!) On another Occaision I was in Dallas Texas and I had only one day to visit Six Flags, and Naturally Mother Nature decides to make it a Rainy Day with Highs in the low to mid 50s :( I look at the bright side, the rains should keep the crowds away right? WRONG! By 3:00 PM they were turning people away at the Gates! I guess everyone else had the same Idea! Consequently "Half the Town showed up!"
Wgen I went to Disneyland Paris the only long lines were in Fantisy Land. I went during spring break 2 tears ago and the longest line was for Peter Pan. But every other ride did not have a line longer than 15 minutes. I rode Space Mountain about 16 times in 2 days.

(Space Mountain in Paris has a luanch on the side of the building and has 3 inverions and is HEAVILY themed to Jules Verne's "Earth to the Moon". It also has a synchronized stereo soundtrack, piped in through speakers in each headrest.)

I rode Indiana Jones et le Temple du Peril 5 times without getting off of it.

How is it that you can spell "synchonrized" correctly but not "fantasy"?
That is a simple question... I SUCK AT SPELLING normal words but I am good at spelling wierd words like "archaebacteria".

Also I remember when I was at Universal Studios Orlando I found a "speed pass" matichine on some weird setting. There were icons on the screne that said 1 through 50. So I pushed the 50 icon and it printed out 50 "speed passes" that work on any ride at any time. The "speed pass" attendents apcepted them like they were normal passes. I got on Hulk when there was 2 hour line so I went in the "speed pass" line.

That was an asome 5 day trip to Universal.

At SFMM in summer, i waited about three hours for BMTR. I didn't even like the ride after it was done. Riddler's Revenge was WAY better.
The hardest word I can regularly spell right is c-h-r-y-s-a-n-t-h-e-m-u-m: chrysanthemum!

lata, jeremy
-who almost moved to an apartment on Chrysanthemum Drive

Nice...
^^ Now how many times have you actually used the word "chrysanthemum" in a sentence... um... uh...

!;)!;)!NEVER!;)!;)! *** Edited 5/13/2006 9:52:05 PM UTC by Hamster Boy***

Well since you've used it once and Jeremy twice the answer cannot be "never" ;)
Anyone going to see The Da Vinci Code? I wonder how long the wait in line is going to be when that comes out?

if the roller coaster is good enough there should be no limit

If I'm going to a Park and it's becoming apparant that it's going to be Crowded the first thing I'll do is Hit the newest Coaster. (The lines are not going to get any shorter! :( After my rides on it I'll Concentrate on the other rides, and, as I mentioned above I'll Leave the park if the Crowds get out of hand and go do something else until later in the evening. (There are some times, such as what happened to me at SFOT in '93 where the only thing I could do is "Tough it out!" (It was my first visit to the park and I HAD to get all of their Coasters in. In spite of the Crowds I made it with 20 Minutes to Spare before the park closed! :) (Since then whenever I visit a MAJOR Amusement Park for the First Time I'll actually set aside TWO days so if I cannot see everything on Day One I'll have the second day to "Mop Up" ( And If I don't need that day I use it to do something else!) ;)

I wonder how long the wait in line is going to be when that comes out?

Anyone with half a brain would order tickets in advance. No waiting.

ETA: Hmm. Service charges on advance tickets. Pay-to-cut! Discuss. *** Edited 5/14/2006 6:04:23 PM UTC by Brian Noble***

At AMC and Harkins in Arizona they have automated ticket machines outside the theater that will let buy tickets up to 3 days in advance with no service charge.
