1. Have I been to the park before?
2. Is it a ride I've been on a bajillion times?
3. Will I get a chance to ride this again anytime soon?
I live 30 minutes from SFGAM and after having a season pass for a couple of years, waiting for anything in that park just irritates me. I'm prone to just pop the extra money for a fastlane pass so I can skip the massive lines on Bull, for instance.
Now if I go to CP or another park, I'll gladly wait about an hour and a half. Anything more than that and it's a coin toss. For instance. I would never wait more than an hour to an hour and a half for Dragster (and mercifully I've never had to). It's my same issue with waiting for drop rides; I'm not standing in line for two hours to ride a 40 second ride.
Though I will admit, when MF opened, we waited over 2 hours for that and though the wait made me cranky, I loved the ride and the wait was worth it. But there isn't much I'd wait for that long. I'm impatient ;)

Will or does SFGAM have fastlane this year and can you give me details? I am hoping to go on a trip this year and would be visiting on the last Wed in July. From a couple of different sources, Wed is the least crowded day for this park. But does least crowded mean walk-on rides or lines an hour or 2 long?
I'm not sure on this. I believe they will still have it available. I didn't see anything on the site but then again I'm a dork and could be wrong. ;) Anyone wanna back me up on that?
A warning that they get crazy busy that time of the year. I would assume you'll still have a decent, sizeable wait for Bull, Giant Drop, and Deja-Vu/V2. I used to go on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every week and it was nuts. I did hear that some of the traffic last year was down a bit thanks to the water park, so if you plan on checking out Hurricaine Harbor, be warned, But I'm sure there are people who have been there more than I was last year who can give you more info.
Hope I helped at least a little ^_^;

I did however wait 3+ hours for both Millenium Force and Mean Streak on their opening days. Same with Flight of Fear.
I am fortunate to be able to visit my home parks when they are at their slowest, early in the season on a weekday, and I get spoiled by walk-on conditions. I usually won't wait for more than 45 minutes, especially if it's a ride I've ridden a million times. If a friend is riding Millenium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, or the Beast for the first time I'll get in line with them and wait it out. But that's about it.
I've never been to Holiday World on a very busy day, and I wonder how long the lines for the coasters there can be? I'm also curious to know how long a wait it will be for the Voyage on a typically busy day? I'm unable to experience opening day's crush of first time Voyage riders. If the weather is good it'll be jammin' there. To all that go, have fun.
Lots of factors to consider make that a difficult guess but with three-train operation I'd assume Voyage can handle quite a lot of people in an hour.

How in the world did this thread turn into a school outing to the Louvre?
Because stupid people like you keep bringing it back up....
I made the mistake of comparing waiting in line for a rollercoaster to waiting in line to see a classic piece of art. *** Edited 4/30/2006 9:41:21 PM UTC by DorneyDante***
I heard somewhere that the line for KK opening day topped out somewhere around 10 hours!?!?! Is that right at all? I find it somewhat beleivable becasue it breaks down a lot. The longest I waited was 2.5 hours for KK. The shortest was 10 mins. I know that with the old queue on KK before it broke down for a month, the line was always around 3 to 6 hours.
Do yourself a favor, and remember that I'm the one who started this thread, and in a somewhat jokingly manner(According to me), I felt like asking how this thread became so far off course.
Okay, with that slappy.
It was worth it is the end, the ride was awsome. I was lucky to get on it then because after that first time on it it has not opperated at all during my trips to SFMM. (The trains for Deja Vu are not even on the track now.)
My limit is around 4 hours for a great ride I have never been on. But it is around 1 to 2 hours for a great ride that I have all ready been on. Also if the line is 45 minutes or more for a ride I do not realy care for I will just skip it.
Pyclone has never had a line longer then 10 minutes so I go on it even though it feels like someone beat you down with a baseball bat!:)!:)!:)!
