Longest or Worst Lift Stops

Not sure if this counts: the longest lift at BrandyWine Ski resort.
was stuck on for 30 mins, it was 10 degrees and we were stopped right under a snowmaker, which covered us... (once it got running, they treated us to coffee and give us lift tickets to come back...) but, that was the worst...
My worst is on Son of Beast's final brake run. Not only had it just started to pour down rain, but there was a bee or wasp stuck in my shirt that stung me three times on the shoulder. That was the longest three minutes of my life.

When I got into the station, I ripped my shirt off - probably was funny to everyone in line...

I've never been stuck on a lift but definitly stuck on a coaster.

TTD launch

TTD in the exit station(restraints)

both were about 10-20mins

I know they used media day Batwing footage in that show because I recognized the folks weaaring the black Batwing T-shirts that were given out for that event....I taped the june 12th 2001 media day event on the news but the VCR chewed my tape a long time ago :( .
For as long as I've been riding rides, I've only ever been stuck on a log ride, and never a coaster. My father was with me, and I was really young at the time. We got in, and it started to downpour literally the second we left. We were the last log that left the station. As soon as we left, the ride ran for about fifteen more seconds and then shutdown completely, and we sat at the base of the lift in pouring rain getting completely soaked. By the time the ride ran again to get us back to the beginning, the rain had stopped and it felt kind of nice to be wetter than the ride would have ever made us.

I was stuck on the lifthill of the Phoenix at Knoebels for 15-20 minutes. On yeah that was for our wedding. ;)

My son and I got stuck on Lightning Racer's lift hill for about 20 minutes during the opening season. The park was great about it. They brought us drinks, and gave us coupons good for a free meal at any food stand in the park.

My wife and I got stuck on Roar's brake run at SFA for about 10 minutes. It wasn't too bad. We were at the transfer track and under a roof, so it wasn't a big deal. They gave us free front of the line passes good for any coaster.

I have been stuck on Adventure Express' 2nd lift at least 3 times that I can remember. The first time we got a walk down/up because we were on lift 2. The other times I have sat in that HOT covered lift for about 25 minutes or so with 90 degree temps outside and 2 little girls crying behind me! That was the worst one!

Also not really a lift but try sitting on Disaster Transport 2nd blocks hearing "I'm Loosing Control" over and over and over and over...... for about 1/2 hour. *** Edited 7/26/2004 3:44:13 PM UTC by Trick Track***

My worst was probably 200ish feet up on MF. I was in the front row, it was about 20-25 minutes... It was cold.
This one time at band camp...

While this isn't a coaster, it's probably got to be my worst one. I was on Escape from Pompeii in the room where it normally fills up with steam right before the drop. Just when the doors opened, the power went out and the doors closed. There wasn't any emergency lights so it was pitch black. We were in there for about 20 minutes before they walked us down. The park was closed the rest of the day because of power loss, but the park gave us free passes so it was all good.

Go Hokies!!
Well like FlyingScooter, the longest wait I've had on a lift is at Jiminy Peak on some weird lift through the woods. We were stuck for close to 40-45 minutes(the C'Buzzer 'Dragster' was there with me). I would've jumped off, except we were about 25 feet up and the snow didn't look too soft.

I wasn't on it but the worst and longest would have to be last year's two and a half hour two face stop. It was a pretty hot day. I was there. All we would look at was two face to see if it was still broken down. There were news reporters, helicopters, and you couldn't get near the ride because of yellow tape.

We called our houses and said that we were stuck on two face, but i felt guilty and called back and said we weren't.

The same day Roar got stuck for about 30 minutes on the lift hill.

Austin-GO JEFF GORDON AND THE TITANS!!!!!!!

My only lift stop to date was June 21 at Cedar Point, when I was in the back car of the Iron Dragon train that snapped the second hill's lift chain. It was interesting chilling there for 15 minutes waiting for the employees to help us down -- they looked white as ghosts. And the moment at which my friend turned around and said, "Holy sh*t, look!" was a memorable one. But the fact that it resulted in a walk-down, exit passes, and bypassing a 105-minute wait for Millennium Force made it well worth the disruption. :)
