Logout?

I was wondering if there was a trick to logout, I click the button on the top but all it does is refresh the page. I always have to changem my email and then change it back to log in. I am wondering for when I use public computers and don't want to stay logged in.

Beats me... must be a computer-specific problem because it hasn't happened to me.

What browser are you using? If it's Safari, I have the same problem with logging out. It seems to be a bug within the browser itself and not Jeff's coding.

No, I use IE and have to delete the cookie to logout.

Go into your browser settings and tell it to compare pages with the cache "every time". What's happening is that you hit the logout button, and that takes you to the same page you had just been on...so the browser is smart enough (stupid enough?) to realize that it's being redirected to the same page, so instead of loading it from the server, it displays it out of the cache. Safari is particularly bad for that.

In Netscape, it's in the preferences someplace; I have no idea where it is in IE.

To check to see if this is what is happening, "logout", then *empty the browser's cache*. Then if things are working the way Jeff planned it, when you reload the page, you should be logged out.

Who never bothers to log out...the browsers change more often than the users of my computers...

for IE it is in the 'advanced' section of the settings/preferances.
