Log Flume Research

I've worked on a couple of large Arrow log flumes and man 33 boats would be a biggun! That's a shame it's rotting in a field. *** Edited 5/3/2006 3:51:48 AM UTC by Cropsey***

I think both of Great America's Log Flumes are Arrows. On Logger's Run at Six Flags Great America, can anyone explain the large amount of water shooting up at the boats at the bottom of the large drop? The boats go right over it, and you get soaked! It that an add-on feature?

Yes, they are Arrows. The ride that does that is not Loggers Run, it is Yankee Clipper and the reason it does that is because there is a small hump at the bottom of the chute. The water flying up there is caused from the water from the main chute splashing over the hump.

You are wrong there, I know for a fact that Loggers Run has that feature because I remember a certain high school field trip where that was my second to last ride and we assumed we werent going to get soaked on it, we did because of that blasted add on.

I would love to see a lfdb.com That would be cool. Looking at IOA it made a log flume back in 1999 which of course is the king of log flumes (am I wrong?). They reinvented the log flume based on my understanding. That was a suprising ride and it didn't just have drops it also went up hill two times. In case anyone forgets, the big hill has a up part and one of the two small hills has a up climb (I believe it's the one with the train), which I never expected.

Are log flumes a dying breed besides being builtin small parks?

^No, its just that most big parks allready have them where they are usually the most popular water ride in the park.

So does the log jammer at kennywood.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Td I see what ur saying, Alot of popular parks do have them already and your right they are one of the most popular water rides which is what I was thinking. I guess the question is that are there alot of parks that remove thier log rides?
