Nearly 75 locals turned out for a meeting that sprouted a 3-2 vote against the Stratosphere Hotel's new coaster plans.
Lawyers from the hotel will again try to make their case for the project when it goes before the City Council for final approval on Oct. 17.

Im glad it got voted down, it would hold a coaster record, and I don't think it's a coaster at all...Coasters take desiing and are more than a drop....All this is a drop. MF deserves to keep some records that this would break!

I'm not surprised it got rejected at all. I told you that the locals would make a big issue of it.

YEAH, **** ALL THE PEOPLE WHO MIGHT GET A CHANCE TO RIDE IT!!! I DONT WANT THEM TO BREAK MY PRECIOUS RECORD THAT I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANYWAY!
sorry about the caps... im just really pissed off
I bet if you lived near it you wouldn't say the same thing...
you don't want a ride to be built just because it would break a stupid record?
*Pukes*
I think you can come up with a better reason to warrant the fact that you "are glad it got voted down".
This ride is a new level of thrills.... and something I definitely would want to experience. However, I don't blame the locals for fighting it...

On the topic of the coaster, I now think that the people had a good arguement. While I love coasters, I don't think I would like one in my back yard (Atleast one I dind't own) Im sure that the coaster will come up in the future, and if the designers are able to prove that it will mot be a nuiscance, there is a good chance it will be built

If you've noticed, not everything in the world revolves around coasters. I'm sure some of the people that live in trailer parks don't appreciate the smart remark you made, Coaster131.
irondraggon, from the way you act by your posts, you sure don't seem like you're 33. "...their pathetic lives?" I'm sure that any person that isn't a coaster freak would hate to have a big ride right by their house, noise or not.
Think when you post.
