Liseberg, a very nice and good park located in Sweden has announced their third coaster. It'll open for the 2003 season and will be built by Intamin.

It's Swedish, but check out the 3D renderings on the official site.

Colossos is not a hyper and by your standard Shivering Timbers and every out-back woodie(which hypers were based one in the first place) would be considered a hyper.

Hay, I just went on a hyper yesterday, Blue Streak, it was awsome.  I've also been on Hurricane@Myrtle Beach, it's my favorite hyper woodie.  It's an out-back coaster, with the same layout as Colossos.  Although its only 101 feet tall it's still a hyper.

lol, you guys are forgetting the true definition of a hyper coaster, a full curcuit coaster with a height of at least 200 feet.  No exceptions!!!

Acro you completely misunderstood me, I said with the height of 196 feet, just 4 ft from 200, it is close enough to fall under a hyper. I did not say all out and backs are hypers.  I a little looser on my definition of coasters, since there really isn't a difinitive source of definition. It is no big deal, i just want you to know my real opinion, and not have you twist it.

The world's a roller coaster and I am not strapped in, maybe I should hold with care, But My hands are busy in the air- Incubus

Thats your opinion, and I respect that, but the fact is in real life it's not a hyper-CASE CLOSED

Acrophobia: You need to warm up to the fact here that your opinion is not the same as fact, and that others will differ in opinion. That's the way things work here.

If you're going to bicker with someone about a couple of feet, you really need to step away from the computer. That kind of nonsense isn't welcome here.

The park doesn't have the space to built a 195ft monster it's in the middle of the city. Besides of that, Collosos at Heide Park has those stats. Plus that, I live in Denmark, and I understand Sweedish.
