Aside from not knowing what you're referring to, I can assure you that it was not personal.

I was confused too, so I went to the Dollywood website and found a note to say the ride was open then after searching further found the POV. Is that the official POV you're referring to?
If so, I've come to this conclusion:
I like rides.
If that's it, I see more rolling shutter, over exposure and a small shutter angle.

Their official POV is terrible. I don't understand why parks don't put out better POV's - it's not like they don't have the time to put toward them.
I would say they need better equipment, but that joke played itself out on FB already...
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
GoPros have fixed lenses, unfortunately. Looking to find a reasonable interchangeable lens camera that's extremely compact for on-ride footage.

Ha!! I wondered how long it would take for the "cheap glass" joke to make its way in to this thread.
This has to be one of the strangest things I've ever seen from a park and manufacturer. Dollywood has posted the following notice to its website...
"Lightning Rod is closed today. Rocky Mountain Construction ordered all of its roller coasters closed until further notice as a recalled mechanical part is replaced. Please watch for updates."
Facebook comments suggest all the other RMCs are still operating though, so I can't wait to see what this is all about.

I assume the others (at least the ones with RMC trains) will be closed tomorrow, if they aren't already closed. Wildfire was scheduled to have it's grand opening today, but it was postponed due to this part recall.
According to this Twitter thread, there was an issue with the hydraulic restraints on Joker (SFDK). Someone said Storm Chaser has the older style restraints, hence it wasn't closed today.
Kolmarden put up a FAQ about Wildfire, which has some more info. Translated, it says:
It is a cylinder that is in the train bracket system. Each bracket has two independent cylinders for double security. We have not detected any errors on our cylinders, but when we received this information we will always be safe than sorry, and replace them all.
Well guess we won't be riding Lighting Rod next week....Bummmer....

"We aren't sure how long Lightning Rod will be closed for...."
Dear Director of Media/Public Relations:
Your prepositions are showing.
Sorry. For me that's like fingernails on a chalkboard.
Well, if it means anything, Joker opened again yesterday. My friends rode it later in the day after it had been testing.
