Da Poodle
Coming in 2003-The Spawn Of Magnum!
I think that the coaster assortment is fairly good. Chang and Thunder Run are the highlights. Twisted Sisters is not one of the getter CCI designs.
HOWEVER, the place was just filthy on every visit I've had. I can take a little trash here and there, but even walking in from the parking lot you can *smell* the rubbish. THAT doesnt put me in a good mood. (I wont even mention the bathrooms). Moreover, the employees from the ticket takers to guest services, from the ride ops to food service are all slow as mole's asses. Good grief they seemed to be moving *backwards* they were so slow. It's like "C'mon, get on with it".
BUT, I will say this, every employee *I* came in contact with was incredibly nice and friendly. In fact, only at Holiday World have I noticed more friendly people (and yes that includes over Disney, Universal and HERSHEYPARK). They may have been slow and clueless, but they were extremely cordial. That and Chang are the only things that even get me to come in the gate (though I spend virtually *no* money there).

"I will break away, I'll find myself today"
If there's even the slightest hint of a crowd, your day will turn into a real drag. Literally. Slow ops, slow moving lines, and slow patrons aren't a lot of fun for me.

"Its disgusting when a post and it's contents are changed."
I gotta agree here! One of my biggest pet peeves.

Back on topic: so many people have commented "if you go to the park when it's crowded you'll have a bad day."
First- Duh! Doesn't that rule hold for just about *any* park? If you think SFKK is bad on a crowded day, try Disneyland...yikes!
Second- if the park is crowded then it must be doing *something* right! If SFKK was as hated by the locals as it is by some enthusiasts they'd go elsewhere, and they have three choices within a 2 hour drive.
Frankly I feel that sometimes as enthusiasts we expect *way* too much. I also think that many create self-fulfilling prophecies. When you expect to have a bad time you're pretty much guaranteed to have a bad time.
Of all my visits to SFKK I've had *one* frustrating experience. After SRM 2001 we experienced a single-train op on Chang, a long line, and no shade in the queue. But better to run one train than none...at least I got to ride.

That appears not to be the case with Kentucky Kingdom though. Regardless, I'm planning to get there for the first time in April.
Dawn, trying (though admittedly not very hard) to get into the 80% range
I must have a very low standard of expectations. The good news is that having such a low standard works in my favor as I enjoy many parks in blissful ignorance while so many others spend the day angry, frustrated, and bitter.
