Legend lovers

are each one of them smooth? Which has more air?

Check out CoastNY at www.angelfire.com/ny5/coastny

I have never ridden the Legend, but how did the Gerstlaurer trains track. From my experience with them they didn't seem to handle turns very well, and any laterals really did a joy on my legs. Did the legend trains hurst on the side of your legs like say.. the Villian?
I have never had a night ride on either coaster. Everytime I visit I have to leave before night time so to make a diffiaitve judgement .....but I have a hard time seeing how anyone could give the nod to Raven day or night ...LEDGEND #1 woodie in the world !

Legend is one of my favorate coasters behind, The Beast, Shivering Timbers, and Lighting Racer.

Coaster Count:120
Favorate steel: Millennium Force
Favorate Wooden: The Beast

The raven i think has more air time because of it's more out and back layout. The legend has some air after the turning drop in the back. Most of the time your just holding on because like Arrow Guy said ,it is very physical.
2Hostyl has it right.

The Legend is nothing short of a religious experience at night. I too have no clue how people think that The Raven is better. There's just no way...

Snoopy Rocks! On Ice opens on June 22nd

Think they'll let me drive the Zamboni machine?

I just hope that somebody turns off that light over by the water park. It lit up part of the Legend closest to it. The best part at night is entering the second tunnel. You can't really see it coming, but you know you've gone into it by the sound.

Can't wait until tonight!

Generic, isn't it?

May I ask a question? When is SRM over?

I plan on going to Holiday World next Mon.-Wed. but I am not a member of any club, so I dont want to get caught in the middle of SRM...

The Gerstlauer trains, I felt, hurt Legend, but even w/ the PTCs it has now, I still think Raven is a somewhat better ride. Everything it does it does well, it's just a wee bit short. Legend is longer, but has some more dead stretches or things that don't entirely work for me. It's a great coaster, but Raven's my #2 wood and Legend's my #4 wood (in fact, it's #3 in Indiana, as I give Cornball the edge over it, too)

BTW -- ST at night does rock.

I take back what I have previously stated in the Raven/Lengend debate.

The rides on Raven and Legend were so completely off the hook this weekend, that there really is no way for me to say that I prefer one over the other.

I must have hit Raven on an off day last year, because I really just didn't get the hype. I understand now.

They both rule, so I will no longer need to concern myself with picking a favorite.
