Spring:
BGW & Hersheypark's Spring Time in the Park
Summer:
Six Flags America, Six Flags Darien Lake, Waldamere, Conneaut lake, Kennywood, Idlewild, Lakemont, Delgrosso's, Clementon, Knoebels and Hersheypark (2x)
It almost looks like the year of smaller parks for me. Not a bad year.
With limiting days left, still a possibility of Dorney, PKD and a return to Knoebels. In October there will be at least one day (maybe more) at Hersheypark in the Dark.

Kind of hard to take a post as objective if a park or coaster name is part of the "user name"

My coaster season was fabulous, I couldnt have asked for more. I got 6 trips to SFGADV (soon to be 8!), 3 to Dorney Park and 1 to Hershey Park. Well, thats just my local parks..
I also took a big trip that included Cedar Point, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, Paramount Kings Island, Lesourdsville Lake and Holiday World. Great fun!
This year I am poor. No extra money means not as many park trips. So far I have been to HP twice, KW twice, and Idlewild once. I have also hit the little homeparks, DelGrosso's and Lakemont a few times each this year.
I am in the planning stages for a few parks this fall. I am contimplating a few nearby SF parks but I fear a SF trip will be dissappointing due to closed rides, open late/closed early parks, bad guest services, ect, My faith in SF has gone down the toilet. I hope they prove me wrong. I know that is silly. Maybe SFA and SFGAdv will have the privledge of serving me fun.
Next year will be the best for me ever (hopefully).

I was supposed to go to SFMM but that didn't happen. Watch for my trip report for SFGADV i will submit it later today.
I also went to my homepark SFDL last weekend 8/24 I had a ball even though it seemed S:ROS was a little on the slow side.
Still had fun though. But little did I know the real fun was around the corner @ SFGADV...........
Absolutely amazing! Best summer for coastering ever (and that is even with an injury that has kept me from riding all August). In addition to hitting a bunch of new parks (SFGAdv, Morey's, Clementon, Wyandot, Strickers, LeSourdesville, Fun Spot, Conneaut, Waldameer, and Erieview), I jumped off the "enthusiast cliff" by attending Coastermania, my first ever enthusiast event, which happened to be the most fun I've ever had at an amusement park, ever (and will be very tough to top).
And at Coastermania, a new dimension entered into my coaster life: people! I now have a bunch of coasternut friends who really make the hobby worthwhile (moreso than the coasters, believe it or not). You guys know who you are -- thanks for the great summer! And it's not over yet...

It's 106 miles to Indiana Beach. We've got a full tank of gas and a half-full cooler of cokes. It's light, and we're wearing Disaster Transport 3-D glasses....hit it!
This year, I went to one park, SFMM back in March -- and yes, I rode X. I'm going to try to get to my home park (PKI), but all in all, I'll probably wait until next year.
Cedar point - 5 times so far (1 or 2 halloweekends still for me!)
Six Flags WOA - 2 times (maybe one more to come)
Michigans adventure twice
Six Flags over Georgia
Six Flags Great America
PKI
Castles and Coasters
Indiana Beach
Fun Spot
Oh, lets not forget to mention the two events I went too. Coastermania and CoasterBuzzCon!

84 coasters and counting
Although my "season" isn't over yet with Halloweekends coming up, this was probably the best I've had so far.
My first opening day at CP, and hopefully my first closing day as well. Timbersfest at MiA Coasterbuzz Con at PKI where several CBuzzer's convinced my husband that a trip to Holiday World would be well worth the long drive (SRM is in our plans for next year!) SFGam (thanks to my son for wanting to meet an on-line friend there) was the surprise of the season

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
So far this has been the best summer evah! I think I'm at 55 parks so far with a couple more new ones to go (Lake Winnie and Lake Compounce). I have gone to a lot of events this year (No Coaster Con, SUF Media Day, Wicked Twister Media day, Fiesta Fest, SRM, CoasterMania!, TimbersFest, Coasterbuzz Con (even though I didn't actually attend the *event* part of it, I still was there the same day. I even got to meet Sawblade!! FO REAL!!), European Coaster Odyssey, and will go to OcBoulderFest and IAAPA later this year.
After moving to Atlanta in April I thought I wouldn't get to many places this year since I would be working full time...well work never happened so I went on trips like every week, lol (yeah I still was actually looking for a job, but places weren't hiring :(). I got to go on trips with a lot of new people and also old friends who I had just never done a trip with (Sean F, wasn't that like 6 weekends in a row back in May/June?! haha).
The highlight of the season was by far the ECO. Met TONS of new people (Danielle, Alan and Matt you guys rock!) who I now consider good friends. It was just an unbelievable 17 day whirlwind through all those countries; one of the best experiences of my life so far.
Okay this is getting borderline sappy so I'll stop there. :) Needless to say, unlike Rob Vaccaro (Rob, come on, you'll always be an enthusiast, man! lol), I will definitely continue these road trips and stuff into the forseeable future.
Joe, who can't wait for "TEoSBBwaDVDPitCRE" in 15 days! Julie, I need some cheerleading up in here! ;)

It tastes like burning.
Not good because I didn't get to visit Canobie Lake Park.:(:(:(:(:(:(:( Although I did have a great time at SFNE riding the best damn coaster in the universe, S:RoS and the floorless B:DK.

Sure did and was it ever a nice one. The train was running real fast after that rain storm. I still think you were lucky though to get a ride in that downpour. I think my Labor Day visit to SFGAm was probably the best visit I have had there in years. Low crowds = big enjoyment.

Operation Wicked Twister - Goal: Lose 50 lbs by next season to ride it! (updates soon)
My Summer has been a blast! Started the Season with a visit to PKI, which I had not been there in at least 14 years and made 4 more return visits (Hoping to get in 1 more.) A highlight being the SoB Travel Channel taping, A big time highlight of my Summer. I also visited some other new Parks and of course made many visits to my home Park: SFWoA.
I also met quite a few people this Season and have become good friends with some. It was really great meeting Sean F., Joe, Keith, Kevin and Chris ~ I had a blast you guys, hopefully we can have many more great times together! (This sounds like a yearbook entry or something, haha.)
I am now looking forward to all of the Halloween festivities at the Parks, I Love Halloween. For me, the Season is just beginning :)
Julie ~ Who also can not wait for "TEoSBBwaDVDPitCRE" ~ It's going to blow our minds ;)
- 14 parks... some big, some small
- Coastermania... lotsa fun!!
- Travel Channel film shoots at SFDL and SFGrAdv
- New coaster friends!
- NY State Fair (Zyklon)
- Renaissance Fair and Scottish Games (no coasters, but fun)
- And we've still got SFNE and Lake Compounce this weekend, Coaster Celebration the next, and PPP.
All in all, a great year!
