Man they're really going all in on these super loopers this year aren't they? I appreciate the retheming they're doing to touch up some of the dc comics areas, that's nice. The Joker is the only big investment they got going for 2016 though, which is a disappointment. When was the last time Six Flags built anything by B&M?

Edit: I do think the retheme of the wile e coyote coaster at SFOG is a shame because I really liked the look of the old theming and I know six flags is just going to halfass this retheme.

Kudos to SFNE for being able to turn a fresh coat of paint into a "new for 20XX" twice, now.

The trick was to surrender to the flow.

X-Flight at Six Flags Great America in 2012, and before that it was the Goliath pair at Six Flags Over Georgia and La Ronde in 2006. So only one B&M in ten years?

^ Six Flags has been doing what people have been asking from them for years. Fleshing out their parks with more than just giant roller coasters. Flat rides, dark rides, family rides and putting money into fixing old, rough coasters.

Enthusiasts have been whining and moaning about this since forever. And now that they are doing this, people wonder where the giant coasters are? Really?

SMH.

Not to mention the insane RMC transformations that have been headlining a lot of the park and the fact that many of them were already overbuilt thanks to the early 2000's era.

Please. They've removed twice as many flat rides collectively than they've added. And they don't put money into fixing old coasters. I assume you're talking about the RMC rebuilds. Those are new coasters, not "fixed" ones. The parks are gross. Go to SFNE and take a walk through Batman The Dark Knight's queue. All the theming is faded, there's gum stuck to every surface and they don't do anything about it. That's just one example. I'm not complaining here just about the lack of B&Ms getting built, I'm complaining about the general slide in quality across the chain.

Quality is subjective. I'll take an RMC of any kind over a B&M.

You'll take an RMC of any kind over a B&M and you'll ignore the rest of my response as well.

^ I ignored it because I don't get it. I'm referring to these specific 2016 additions. How dirty the parks are or how they're run is another thread at another time. And certainly not something a $25 million dollar B&M is going to fix anyway.

Once again, I like where the chain is heading in terms of sensible additions that work more long term, rather then quick fixes.

What's long term about carnival flats marketed as roller coasters. Not to mention repainting and rename, yet again, a roller coaster and calling it new. It misleading and comes off a little desperate. I rather they take a year off to improve infrastructure.

^ Justice League is a carnival flat? The Zamperla frisbee at SFOG is a carnival flat?

Is Cedar Fair repainting and renaming Mantis and Vortex and repackaging them as new rides misleading and desperate?

Sounds like your bias is seeping through and making you blind.

I wasn't asserting that B&Ms will fix everything. Where'd you read that? And what isn't there to "get" about my post? Again you didn't respond to anything I wrote in my most recent post. You're useless to try to have a conversation with.

I know it may seem that way. But it's because I lost interest in what you were saying. Sorry.

I guess "quality" is subjective as well. I don't think Six flags will ever be Disney or Universal, but relatively speaking, they have come a long way. Remember the early to mid 2000's?

Yet you chose to evade the fact that there "looping coasters" that they have been adding at parks like popcorn stands isn't a carnival flat. I must impugn your vituperation on "bias" for no exemptions were giving nor mentioned about Cedar Fair parks "repackaging" of their attractions from me. If this thread was in reference to that then it would've been addressed.

Couldn't agree more.

Its funny that no b&m is ever mentioned in the top steel coasters and lots of people complain they are forceless. The price for a b&m is way too much and you can get more for your money with an RMC. IMO i would much rather have a 22 million dollar lightning rod over a 25 million dollar boring dive coaster that cp is adding.

About that giant frisbee. Probably the most unexpected ride of the year at least for me.
