Kraken - How long was YOUR wait?

Too often, Sea World only operates one train on Kraken, and loads very slow.

My .02

PT300: You had to go through that too? It's very sad that the longest wait in IOA is at the ticket booth.:)

Okay, hearing all of this just pisses me off. I've only been to Florida once, and it was during the week of New Years. Obviously a VERY crowded time. The wait for Hulk the day I was at IOA was over 2 hours. Spiderman was also about 2 hours. Hell, it probably took an hour just to get into the park. This was during the middle of the day though, as my lazy roommate couldn't seem to wake up before 11 everyday of the entire trip.

I really need to get back down there during a less busy time of the year! Maybe a trip this summer. ;) How are the lines in the summertime?

I wouldn't even consider thinking about mentioning the possibility of visiting Orlando parks during spring break.

Our theory is visit on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and you're usually safest.

Again, probably spoken by a guy who doesn't have school-age kids.

A week is a long time to make up--even for kids who are acing their classes...

(who saw queues for the Hulk reach 120 minutes, Dueling Dragons hit 90 and Spiderman remain consistently horrible all week)

Well the first time I went to IOA it was early summer (last week of June). Since there isnt *that* much to do in the park (aside from re-rides) and the park was open till like 11pm there was PLENTY of time to do/see everything. BUT what you *do* have to be wary of at that time of the year is the torrential downpours that seem to come crashing down everyday at 11am and 3pm. If you're okay with working around these, then you are golden

We Floridians have a rule about the weather....if you don't like it, wait 5 minutes!

I have a different rule about Kraken....if you waited for it, you went on the WRONG day! Longest I ever waited for anything at SWO was for the beer line....oh, and Wild Arctic.

Jeremy-It has rained every time I have been to Florida too...Except this time! :)

You are bold, but are you also...daring?

Go in February. It never rains in February. Last two years I have gone in February and no rain either time. There was the wildfires blocking I-4 last year though so they could have used rain that year. September is another story. Last two times I was there in September and one year was a Tropical storm and it rained everyday, all day for a week straight and ruined a Disney vacation, and the other was a full blown hurricane which was the first one to even come close to the Tampa area which is where I was staying. September is not a good month to visit Florida. The rest of the time it is nice most of the day and then it rains for an hour or so in the afternoon, we are talking monsoon rain, and then an hour later you wouldnt know it rained out.

As for Kraken, no lines, ever, like rollergator said, if you wait, you came on a really bad day. I will go one step further and say that the last time I was there in February I didnt even have to wait for the beer. :) I ended up takling my wife's beer and two fisting it all the way back to Kraken :)

I rode kraken in december and i did not wait long. I was there with my friends and the guy who worked there tapped me on the back and then looked away and said it was not him but he could not fool me so my friend bobby tapped him back and said it was me. We really are jokesters. But the line was not long so we rode lots of times and we also went and saw the loud see lions. They were loud and i gave them fishies. Remember the sesame street where ernie and bert go fishing and ernie yells here fishie fishie fishie and tons of fishes come in the boat. Sorry I wrote that but it just reminded me of that from when i was little.

I've ridden Kraken about 6 times and never waited for more than 5 minutes. The same applies for all the coasters at BGT too. This is such a luxury coming from the uk where you typically have to queue at least an hour. I queued for 2 1/2 hours to get on Air on Tuesday!!! When I got off, the queue was 3 hours!!!I reckon the yanks are scared of the big rides and thats why there's never a long wait! LOL. :)
